[00:00:05] Speaker A: You are listening to an atomic broadcasting production. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the feature presentation. And remember, do your part, such as, like comment rate. And don't forget to tell a friend to tune in for an atomic time. [00:00:28] Speaker B: Previously on side Quest. Dragon hunters. The light of a full moon shines through the clear sky and onto the form of a sleeping boy. Suddenly, a dark shape passes over the moon, blotting out the light. Harass will save us. The dragon. [00:00:44] Speaker A: Sid, why is there so much dust everywhere? But it wasn't this dusty yesterday. [00:00:49] Speaker C: It was. It hasn't rained. [00:00:51] Speaker A: Sid, there's a youngish woman bent over something on the road. [00:00:55] Speaker B: Hello. Are you adventurous? Sort of. Kinda. You're doing a little hunting? Yeah, a little hunting. There's a dragon in the area. [00:01:03] Speaker A: That sounds nice. [00:01:05] Speaker B: I set a trap for the dragon last night, and I know for a fact that it worked. She points off towards the woods, and you can see glinting in the sunlight. This reflective trail. As you press through, you hear noises of creatures in the underbrush ahead. So you sneak up to this ledge, and as you look out over, you see five caned figures. Just as Algerdon is like. Wait, what is that? Fifth. Why does that look different? Sid. You finish like stepping up next to him and step on a twig and just. Sam. Roll for initiative. Unless you are Sam or Jenkins. [00:01:39] Speaker A: Wait, why? [00:01:40] Speaker C: We're going to use our stealth. [00:01:41] Speaker A: I'm going to say I also have a thing that lets me use survival for initiative. Even though it's just terrain. [00:01:46] Speaker B: Do you want to forego whatever you got for stealth? [00:01:48] Speaker A: What did I get? [00:01:49] Speaker B: Well, Sid was noticed and I was. Algernon does not seem to be noticed. [00:01:55] Speaker C: Question down to biz. [00:01:57] Speaker D: D 20 roll. [00:01:58] Speaker B: Then. [00:01:58] Speaker D: What do you add to it? [00:01:59] Speaker B: Usually perception. Unless you want to argue a different skill. [00:02:02] Speaker A: Okay, this is a more legitimate question on my end. Can I know what my role was for initiative before I decide if I'm rolling? Another thing for initiative. [00:02:10] Speaker D: Because you made the secret skill roll or stealth roll? [00:02:13] Speaker B: I will tell you, Sam, you are currently sitting at a 25 with the plus two. [00:02:18] Speaker A: Okay, that's fine. I'll stay with that. [00:02:20] Speaker C: Did I roll like a twelve? You don't have to tell me. I'm going to learn here in a second. [00:02:23] Speaker B: You're going to find out in a minute that there was a two on the die for your secret. [00:02:27] Speaker A: Well, they're really far away. [00:02:28] Speaker B: They are. [00:02:29] Speaker A: I could kill at least one of. [00:02:30] Speaker C: Them with my boomerang. Can you turn it to the initiative order? [00:02:34] Speaker B: Yes. [00:02:35] Speaker A: Can we have life? [00:02:36] Speaker B: All right. Backbone. What's your initiative, 24? [00:02:40] Speaker E: Are you a radio announcer? [00:02:42] Speaker F: I sure am. [00:02:43] Speaker B: And next up is Lark. [00:02:46] Speaker E: Lark? [00:02:47] Speaker B: Oh, he already has my insane. [00:02:51] Speaker F: I realized that after I said that. [00:02:53] Speaker E: 17, Adrian. [00:02:55] Speaker G: 17. [00:02:55] Speaker B: Oh, Nick. [00:02:57] Speaker A: Eleven. [00:02:58] Speaker B: So, interesting. [00:02:59] Speaker F: Bingo. [00:03:00] Speaker B: Algernon was scouting leading up to this. So you all got a plus one to your initiatives. [00:03:05] Speaker C: Oh, sick. [00:03:07] Speaker A: That doesn't stack with incredible initiatives. [00:03:09] Speaker B: It does not. All right, so we're going to start at the top of the round with the creature that Sam posited would be a bargast. It hears that snap of the twig and turns and looks and it sees, just like the very top of Sid's very tall head poking out from over the bushes and it begins running off in his direction. [00:03:27] Speaker A: Is it going to leap up 10ft? How high up are we over them, by the way? [00:03:31] Speaker B: Yeah. So you're on a ten foot ledge looking down into the clearing. And I'll mention, too, because I didn't describe this when you first came up to this clearing. On the opposite side of the clearing from you is a river that has a weird greenish hue. [00:03:44] Speaker A: Water. [00:03:45] Speaker B: And this barcast looking creature storms across the clearing and, as Sam had suggested, leaps up the ledge right next to Sid. Hello. And that's where it ends its turn. And one other of these creatures, this warg that Algernon did identify it, gets to go next. And it is running to the base of that hill on the side. And it's making its way up the slope and runs up next to Adrian. [00:04:13] Speaker A: They were that close to us? [00:04:14] Speaker B: Yeah, they're only a few feet back. [00:04:16] Speaker A: Oh, okay. So for that. I thought we were like 60ft ahead of them. [00:04:19] Speaker B: No, you're like, 10ft. Well, you don't want to die. [00:04:23] Speaker A: I do, actually. They don't know I'm here. [00:04:25] Speaker B: Speaking of not wanting to die, Aldrinon. [00:04:27] Speaker A: Oh, it's my turn. [00:04:29] Speaker B: So you've got three wargs still out in the clearing. One is running up the hill towards your group, and the larger creature with bat ears has leapt up the side of the cliff and is standing next to Sid. [00:04:42] Speaker C: So the different one is next to me? [00:04:44] Speaker B: Yes, the different one is right next to Sid. [00:04:45] Speaker A: I'm the upper token. [00:04:47] Speaker B: Let me zoom in your map so you can see. [00:04:48] Speaker A: So, starting my turn, I will, for, I believe, one action cast gravity weapon on my boomerang. [00:04:55] Speaker C: It makes it fall to the ground. [00:04:57] Speaker A: I will hunt prey. The warg next to Adrian. Never mind. I'm not going to mess with the warg. I'm going to fully focus the barkhast to help my spotter. [00:05:05] Speaker B: Does your spotter have any ability to not grant cover, or do you still have cover for the barcast creature because. [00:05:12] Speaker A: He'S in the way? [00:05:13] Speaker C: Well, if you hunt it, doesn't that. [00:05:15] Speaker A: Negate the COVID I think hunt prey negates the COVID Got this right here. I ignore the second range of increment penalty. It's only going to be a plus one, right? [00:05:25] Speaker B: Yeah, it's just a plus one. It's lesser covered. [00:05:28] Speaker A: I'll go ahead and just throw. It's not a dragon, is it? [00:05:31] Speaker B: Doesn't appear to be one. [00:05:32] Speaker A: Okay, so I'll throw my boomerang 28. [00:05:37] Speaker B: That's a hit. [00:05:37] Speaker A: It is my hunted prey. So with my punter's edge, I get an extra d eight of damage. And because I have gravity weapon cast on my boomerangs on my first hit, every round they deal an additional. At this point, it'd be additional four damage, 15 points of damage. [00:05:54] Speaker B: That's counting the bonus from gravity weapon. [00:05:56] Speaker A: Yeah, I rolled pretty low. All right, now, the next time, Jenkins, because he is my spotter, I have the sniping duo archetype. And because I've chosen Sid as my spotter, because I've hit this target with a strike, his next strike does one additional damage per weapon. Damage die against that creature. So he'll do additional two damage? [00:06:17] Speaker C: Yeah, depending on what I'm doing. [00:06:19] Speaker A: As long as it's a strike. [00:06:20] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:06:20] Speaker A: And I think those are my three actions, so that'll end my turn. [00:06:23] Speaker B: All right, that brings us to backbone. [00:06:26] Speaker F: Who's the guy up in the yellow circle? [00:06:28] Speaker B: So, up here at the top, that is Eliza. Eliza. These are just the icons I'm using. This one's Eliza, and this one's Diane. Because I didn't make icons for anything that I didn't absolutely have to, I wrote this adventure in three days. We're proud of. [00:06:47] Speaker F: Or the backbone is going to jump up. Well, not jump up, but move to above, not Diane. I'd like to be above the ranger troll. [00:07:00] Speaker B: Toll. Toll. Okay. [00:07:02] Speaker F: And then I'm going to cast that lovely, lovely cantrip. Inspire courage. [00:07:08] Speaker B: Yay. [00:07:09] Speaker A: So maybe I should have delayed everyone. [00:07:12] Speaker F: Within a 60 foot, or all my allies, I should say within a 60 foot emanation, gain a plus one status bonus to attack rolls, damage rolls and saves against fear effects. [00:07:23] Speaker C: All right, everyone, it's your duty, your goal, your job in life. Remember that. Plus one. [00:07:28] Speaker B: So you've strode, you have inspired courage, backbone, you have one action remaining. [00:07:34] Speaker F: Can I cast guidance? [00:07:35] Speaker B: Yes. [00:07:36] Speaker F: But does that stack? [00:07:38] Speaker B: No. [00:07:38] Speaker F: So there's not really a well, so. [00:07:40] Speaker B: They could use the guidance on something else that's not an attack like a. [00:07:44] Speaker C: Save or a skill check. [00:07:45] Speaker F: I'm going to save it. I'm doing nothing from my third action. [00:07:48] Speaker C: Recall knowledge. [00:07:49] Speaker F: Recall knowledge. That's a good idea. [00:07:52] Speaker B: Which reminds me. Algernon. [00:07:54] Speaker D: Aldrinon. [00:07:55] Speaker E: Algernon. [00:07:56] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:07:57] Speaker B: What's up, Algernon? At the end of last episode, you succeeded a recall knowledge check and identified the creature. Yes. The wargs, the more common of the canids below. Two of them seem weaker and two of them seem stronger. But, you know, normal wargs are level two. You may ask one more question. I forgot to do this before. Backbone makes his recall knowledge so he has more information about what he's recalling, about if he chooses wargs or wants to know more, or if he decides to identify the other creature. Since we know about the wargs, we can save will. [00:08:32] Speaker A: Will save. Okay, cool. [00:08:34] Speaker B: Backbone, what would you like to recall knowledge about? [00:08:36] Speaker F: I choose to identify the other creature. [00:08:38] Speaker B: All right. [00:08:38] Speaker A: Congratulations. [00:08:40] Speaker B: That will be a religion check. [00:08:43] Speaker F: A religion check. [00:08:44] Speaker E: Religion. [00:08:45] Speaker B: What's your religion bonus? [00:08:47] Speaker F: That's a plus three. [00:08:49] Speaker E: I would not expect religion. [00:08:51] Speaker A: I would. [00:08:53] Speaker C: He doesn't have bardic lore. [00:08:54] Speaker E: He should. [00:08:55] Speaker B: That's if you choose the right muse. [00:08:57] Speaker E: You get, gosh darn it, petite. [00:09:01] Speaker A: So sorry. [00:09:02] Speaker B: As I typically do, if you say, I want to recall knowledge about that, and I'm like, it would be this skill, and you go, oh, I'm not good at that skill, you can back out and do something else. So you can commit and recall knowledge about that, or you can say, oh, not religion. I want to recall knowledge about something else. It's up to you. [00:09:16] Speaker F: Well, religion is a very weak skill, but I would prefer. Is there anything I could do survival. [00:09:22] Speaker B: On not to recall knowledge in this case. What kind of lores do you have? Theater. [00:09:27] Speaker A: Are any of them actors? [00:09:30] Speaker B: Unfortunately, there's a distinct lack of thespian threats. [00:09:33] Speaker C: I don't know. The one speaking goblin seemed pretty theatrical. [00:09:37] Speaker B: One more. [00:09:38] Speaker E: One more. [00:09:41] Speaker F: I will stick with that religion. [00:09:43] Speaker A: All right, one more. [00:09:44] Speaker B: Sadly. [00:09:47] Speaker A: I can go the distance. [00:09:49] Speaker B: So this is a goblin dog. [00:09:51] Speaker F: A goblin dog. [00:09:52] Speaker B: It's a level three creature, and they have, like, a disease that you can catch if they bite you. A goblin dog. [00:10:00] Speaker E: Goblin dog. [00:10:00] Speaker A: Wait, so there are two goblin dogs? Two wargs. [00:10:04] Speaker B: There's four wargs. Two of them just look tougher than the others. And then the one that's different and has stepped up next to Sid backbone has identified as a goblin dog. [00:10:12] Speaker F: Oh, I relay that to everyone. [00:10:14] Speaker E: Thank you. [00:10:16] Speaker A: Oh, so don't get bit. [00:10:17] Speaker F: I don't plan on it. That's why I'm standing up here. [00:10:21] Speaker A: Don't get bit. That's a good advice. [00:10:23] Speaker E: Bitey. No, no. [00:10:24] Speaker C: Bitey. [00:10:25] Speaker B: Yes. Yes. Two more wargs take their turn. [00:10:29] Speaker E: Gosh diddly darn. [00:10:31] Speaker A: So is this just jumping up the cliffside? What's going on? [00:10:34] Speaker B: So the tokens are moving in a straight line, but they are actually going around. [00:10:37] Speaker A: Okay. Poor Adrian. [00:10:39] Speaker B: Adrian is now surrounded by three wargs on his southern side and is backed up by lark. [00:10:46] Speaker G: Behind him, Adrian is suddenly questioning if he's in fact a dog person or not. [00:10:51] Speaker B: Speaking of dog people, Sid, it's your turn. [00:10:53] Speaker E: Wait, Sid, are you a dog person? [00:10:55] Speaker C: I never really thought about it, but, I mean, I could eat. [00:10:59] Speaker D: No, I will not prepare that for you. [00:11:03] Speaker C: Yeah, probably best. [00:11:04] Speaker E: That's rude. [00:11:05] Speaker A: There used to be a dog in this caravan. [00:11:07] Speaker D: Why do you think we have a raptor now? [00:11:10] Speaker C: So, because I want to protect my new father, I'm going to first call my implement to my hand. [00:11:19] Speaker B: What's your implement? [00:11:20] Speaker C: It's my weapon. It's the gigantic axe on my back. [00:11:24] Speaker B: I should have known. Yeah. [00:11:25] Speaker C: Didn't have very far to travel, which makes me clumsy. So my ac is minus one. I'm going to go into a rage, which minuses my ac by one again, and then I'm going to use this hero point card you have provided to me, which allows me to make a stride. Action. I must move in a straight line, but everything in my way. I'm allowed to make a shove, check against it for free, and it doesn't affect my attack of opportunity, which would be great if I could do another attack after this, but I can't, so I'm going to do that. [00:11:55] Speaker B: I love this so much. And there's an additional reason I love it that you're not aware of. [00:11:59] Speaker C: I'm scared now. [00:12:00] Speaker B: So, as you teleport your weapon into your hand and you begin to move forward, the goblin dog next to you begins to lash out with its claws. [00:12:07] Speaker C: It has attack of opportunity. [00:12:09] Speaker A: It's amazing. [00:12:10] Speaker B: And what is your ac now that you're clumsy and raging? [00:12:13] Speaker C: 21. [00:12:14] Speaker B: Exactly. A critical hit. [00:12:18] Speaker C: So I wasted my hero point. [00:12:20] Speaker B: I will allow you to refund it because you're attempting a stride and he disrupts it. [00:12:26] Speaker A: Does it specifically say in his text that it disrupts movement actions on a critical hit? Because a lot of things have jack of opportunities that don't do that. [00:12:33] Speaker B: Oh, you're right. This one dullly disrupts manipulate. [00:12:36] Speaker C: But he could very well down me. [00:12:38] Speaker B: You take 16 slashing damage. Oh, that's nothing. [00:12:41] Speaker A: Oh, no. I never like it when something does low damage on a high level creature. [00:12:47] Speaker B: It's all right. It's just lashed out with its claw at you. But since it does not have any special ability to disrupt move actions, you may continue charging forward. [00:12:56] Speaker C: So remind me how to shove. [00:12:57] Speaker B: Check. [00:12:58] Speaker C: Is it an athletics check against their fortitude? [00:13:00] Speaker B: Yes. [00:13:01] Speaker C: So the first one is obviously the one that just attacked me. Ooh, that's a lot. That is a lot. That is a 33. [00:13:07] Speaker B: That's a critical success. [00:13:08] Speaker C: He gets pushed 10ft off the cliff. Oh, I can stride after it, but I must move the same distance. Next one up is the one right. [00:13:18] Speaker B: Next before you shove through that, as this goblin dog falls off of the cliff, it doesn't seem to be bothered at all by the fall, even though you feel like that should have hurt it. [00:13:29] Speaker C: Okay, that's another high 130 for the next shove. [00:13:34] Speaker B: In which direction would you like to move this away from? 10ft the cliff. [00:13:39] Speaker A: They're all going off the cliff. The war took a little pump. [00:13:44] Speaker C: Do I get both of them or. [00:13:45] Speaker B: Just the one that's to the south of Ag? [00:13:49] Speaker C: Not as good, but still good. [00:13:52] Speaker B: 28, not a critical success. [00:13:54] Speaker C: Okay, so diagonally, five down. [00:13:56] Speaker B: So back down the slope of the hill, but not quite off to fall. [00:14:00] Speaker C: I got you, dad. [00:14:03] Speaker B: Nice opener. I appreciate that. All right. And it is now Adrian's turn. [00:14:10] Speaker G: Ooh, that's very smoothly. [00:14:12] Speaker E: Don't mess up, Adrian. [00:14:13] Speaker G: Oh, thanks. So I've got the two normal wargs nearby ish. Well, one nearby ish. [00:14:20] Speaker B: Yeah. You've got one that's still adjacent to you and one that just got shoved away by Sid. The other one was shoved off the ledge and is now back on the floor of the clearing. [00:14:28] Speaker G: Okay, I'm going to need it to. Well, I'm going to reach out and try and sort of touch it. [00:14:34] Speaker E: Caress it? Yes. [00:14:35] Speaker G: I'd like to try to catch touch spell, to be specific. [00:14:38] Speaker B: You can do that. Snarling and you just reach out and you're able to lay your hand on it. [00:14:43] Speaker G: Awesome. It's going to need to make a fortitude save. [00:14:48] Speaker B: What's your DC 21? A regular success. [00:14:53] Speaker G: Then I'd like to try to stab it. [00:14:56] Speaker B: So you reach up, you touch the wagon, it just growls. Go ahead and make an attack roll. Awesome. [00:15:03] Speaker E: The natural progression of things. [00:15:06] Speaker A: He is a man, after all. [00:15:08] Speaker B: This is the way of the world. [00:15:11] Speaker G: I don't think I was going to do anything. Twelve. [00:15:13] Speaker B: Unfortunately not. [00:15:14] Speaker C: Okay, I legitimately thought you were about to say. Yeah, no, that's a hit. [00:15:18] Speaker E: I would be concerned. [00:15:19] Speaker G: That would be my turn. [00:15:20] Speaker B: All right, it is now the last and final warg. Who is still down in the clearing? Oh, no, he runs. [00:15:26] Speaker A: But is there difficult terrain? [00:15:28] Speaker B: No. [00:15:29] Speaker A: What? The hill. [00:15:30] Speaker E: He's climbing up a hill. [00:15:31] Speaker B: You're right. Hold on. [00:15:33] Speaker G: He's running up that hill. [00:15:34] Speaker B: Hold on. [00:15:35] Speaker E: Let's run up. [00:15:35] Speaker B: Do them. [00:15:36] Speaker E: There's no buildings here. [00:15:38] Speaker B: There we go. He spends his first strat action. Spends 25 35 for. He's one shy. [00:15:50] Speaker A: Means he can't attack, right? [00:15:52] Speaker E: Can't do. [00:15:52] Speaker B: He's out of actions. He had to use all three actions. But now the three wargs on the hill are all clustered around Sid. [00:15:59] Speaker A: Dick, throw a bomb. All right, let me get in there. [00:16:03] Speaker E: Wait, am I last? [00:16:04] Speaker B: No, it is your turn. [00:16:06] Speaker E: Oh, where am I? Behind Adrian. [00:16:09] Speaker B: Yes, you are right behind Adrian. [00:16:11] Speaker E: Okay, which two wargs should I target? Guys with electric arc. [00:16:18] Speaker C: The two in front of me would be great. [00:16:19] Speaker E: Where are you? [00:16:20] Speaker C: I'm at the very bottom in front of Adrian. [00:16:23] Speaker E: Okay, but which two? Sid, there's three of them in front of you. [00:16:26] Speaker C: Well, I would like it if you got the diagonal two. [00:16:31] Speaker E: Oh, so not the two bottom ones. [00:16:33] Speaker C: But the top one and then the bottom left. [00:16:37] Speaker B: Yeah, if it changes your choices at all. Lark. The two wargs on the southern side seem to be a bit tougher than the one that's further up the hill. [00:16:44] Speaker E: Do you care, Sid? [00:16:46] Speaker C: Well, I'm going to hit them regardless. [00:16:47] Speaker E: Okay, so then I'm just going to target the two southern ones with electric arc. Give me a reflex save. Yeah, what's your DC 21? [00:16:56] Speaker C: Happy? You said that with so much confidence, I almost gave you a reflex save. [00:17:01] Speaker E: Sid, I need a reflex save. [00:17:03] Speaker B: Both of them regularly succeeded. [00:17:06] Speaker E: Fine. That doesn't do anything, does it? [00:17:09] Speaker B: They take half damage. [00:17:10] Speaker E: Oh, they take half damage. Okay, six already halved. [00:17:13] Speaker B: Oh, pre halved. [00:17:14] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:17:14] Speaker B: And you added your spell casting ability modifier. Yes. All right, so they both take that six damage. [00:17:19] Speaker E: Recall knowledge, question mark. [00:17:21] Speaker B: What would you like to recall? [00:17:22] Speaker E: Knowledge about, like, a specific thing or a skill? [00:17:27] Speaker A: Which creature? [00:17:28] Speaker E: Well, which creature? [00:17:29] Speaker B: What do you want to know? [00:17:30] Speaker E: I don't know what I want to know. [00:17:31] Speaker C: We know nothing about the goblin bear except for the fact that it is a goblin bear. [00:17:35] Speaker E: The goblin bear? [00:17:37] Speaker B: Goblin dog. [00:17:38] Speaker C: Goblin dogs are just bears of the floor. [00:17:41] Speaker E: Goblin dog. [00:17:41] Speaker D: You know, it's level three, and then. [00:17:42] Speaker A: That can give you disease, and it takes religion to check on it. [00:17:45] Speaker E: Oh, I am not religious. [00:17:47] Speaker F: Neither was I, but goblin dog. [00:17:49] Speaker B: All right, what's your religion? [00:17:50] Speaker E: Bonus four. [00:17:51] Speaker B: So you learn that it has, like, pustules on it that if you strike it and you critically fail, it'll actually spurt poison at you. [00:18:00] Speaker E: Well, we'll take that with a grain of salt because that may or may not be true. [00:18:03] Speaker B: That might help with the pustules. [00:18:06] Speaker A: Grains of salt. I don't believe it exists as they're spraying in my face. So I'm good. [00:18:11] Speaker B: Nick, your turn. [00:18:13] Speaker D: Yes, Nick. Small halfling fellow. So as he said earlier, he's only wearing traveling clothes. So he'll start by grabbing two rip cords on the back of his pack, ripping them, and then a bunch of armor uncollapses surrounding his sick. And the armor looks very like gizmo. Like, there's a bunch of weird parts that are, like, shifting and moving around as it's up over him. Having his shield and the earthbreaker hammer he has the collapse armor is one action. Can I stride and then hit the one that's next to. [00:18:44] Speaker B: Yes, if you'd like. You can stand on the edge of the cliff and hill there and get flanking with Sid. [00:18:49] Speaker D: I have sure feet. [00:18:50] Speaker C: I'll go for it. [00:18:52] Speaker B: All right, make your strike attack. [00:18:55] Speaker D: Yes. That would be a only 19. I rolled a six plus 13, plus 20 total. Because of the plus one from the. [00:19:04] Speaker B: Bar, 20 against its flat footed ac is a regular hit. Nice. [00:19:08] Speaker F: Okay, flat footed off guard, then. [00:19:10] Speaker D: I have two. D six. [00:19:13] Speaker A: Man, I'm not rolling. [00:19:14] Speaker C: Well, that is a one and a. [00:19:15] Speaker D: Two on the d six. I think I have my strength for plus three. [00:19:17] Speaker C: So six damage. [00:19:18] Speaker D: I did not go into overdrive yet. [00:19:20] Speaker B: All right, so you pulled on your armor, ran into position and smashed the weaker of the Wargs by Sid for six damage. That ends round one. It is now the goblin dog's turn. It is out of view of anybody standing up on the hill because it is now at the base of that ten foot cliff. So you guys can't really see it. [00:19:39] Speaker A: You're like, I could still see it. I'm up against the cliff. [00:19:42] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. I suppose you could see it because you're positioned still where you were, like, looking out over the ledge. So you see it kind of, like, squint and kind of mutter to itself and then it disappears from view and reappears right at the base of the cliff right next to you. And then kind of looks up at you and growls to itself and then leaps back up over the cliff. It attempts to leap up behind backbone but, like, hits the side, scrabbles a little bit and then slides back down. [00:20:11] Speaker E: Poor baby. [00:20:12] Speaker F: All right. [00:20:13] Speaker A: I love it. [00:20:14] Speaker B: It is now the weaker warg that was just smacked with a earthbreaker hammer's turn. It's going to turn its back on Sid and look at the little halfling in front of it. [00:20:25] Speaker E: Yeah, there's multiple reasons I don't like that he's in that space. [00:20:29] Speaker B: It's going to bite. Going to bite him. What's your armor class? [00:20:32] Speaker D: My armor alone is 22. [00:20:34] Speaker B: All right, so he misses, but he will attempt to bite again with his intrepid biting abilities. And he intrepidly bites you for what he bites you for. [00:20:43] Speaker D: Well, no, like how much did he hit? Was it a 22? [00:20:46] Speaker B: A 26 was his role. [00:20:48] Speaker D: I'm not stopping that. [00:20:49] Speaker B: He bites you and deals you eleven damage and then he just clamps down hard on your arm and you are grabbed. [00:20:56] Speaker D: There is a check he needs to make for that. For me, actually. Oh, because I have unfettered halfling. [00:21:00] Speaker E: What is that? [00:21:01] Speaker A: I'm curious how that plays with grab. [00:21:03] Speaker D: It's no longer automatic. They have to make a check against me. [00:21:06] Speaker B: Oh. [00:21:06] Speaker A: It specifically does their trick. [00:21:07] Speaker D: If a creature uses the grab ability on you, it must succeed at an athletics check to grab you instead of automatically grabbing. [00:21:14] Speaker B: That's pretty extremely specific and very helpful. [00:21:16] Speaker D: It also has a lot of things for like making escape checks and grappling. But that's one of those things where. [00:21:20] Speaker E: Perfect for this situation. [00:21:22] Speaker B: So he bites at you and deals you that eleven damage and starts to clamp down and try to grab onto you and you're able to just twist your arm out and he is not grabbing you. [00:21:31] Speaker D: So I like to imagine my armor a bunch of shifting pieces and it might grab cookware automatically and move them in front. And so then when it tries to bite harder to actually climb down, the pieces just kind of like pry it apart. [00:21:43] Speaker B: Instead, he's just sitting there growling with a wooden spoon in his mouth. [00:21:46] Speaker C: My favorite wooden spoon. [00:21:48] Speaker B: Aldernon. Algernon, it is your turn. You saw the goblin dog kind of like focus and then blink out of existence, reappear at the base of the hill next to you and then try to jump up and fail. [00:21:59] Speaker A: He's going to throw a boomerang down at the bargast. [00:22:02] Speaker B: It's a goblin dog. [00:22:03] Speaker A: I'm sorry. I told myself it was a Vargas early on. It's all I can think of. And goblin dogs are so much grosser. [00:22:11] Speaker B: It doesn't seem as gross as the stories you've heard of goblin dogs. [00:22:14] Speaker A: I know, but I have no religion? 34. [00:22:17] Speaker B: So, with the angle of the cliff, I was going to give him lesser cover, but that's still a critical hit. [00:22:24] Speaker A: With my gravity weapon and with my precision. Damage. 40 points of damage. Wait, do I have critical specializations at. [00:22:32] Speaker B: This level as a ranger? I don't know where you get it. It's different for each class. [00:22:37] Speaker A: Weapon expertise. Ooh, I do have fit weapon expertise. [00:22:40] Speaker B: Isn't that level seven? [00:22:41] Speaker A: I got it at level four. Five. I got it. Level five. It's there. [00:22:44] Speaker B: Oh, wow. [00:22:45] Speaker A: It's a club. You knock the target up to 10ft away. Just chuck that thing down on it for 40 points of damage and send it sliding into the tree. Does it take force, movement, damage? [00:23:00] Speaker B: It does not. Because it didn't have to move into the trunk of the tree. It's just under the tree. [00:23:03] Speaker E: Can't even see it. [00:23:04] Speaker A: Algerdad watches. That goes blow. Oh, wait. Backbone. Did you see that? [00:23:13] Speaker B: I guess that was cool. [00:23:14] Speaker A: I thought so. [00:23:16] Speaker B: You get the sense that that one blow from your boomerang took out more than half of itself. [00:23:20] Speaker A: All right, here comes another. What, 25. [00:23:25] Speaker B: That's a hit. [00:23:25] Speaker A: Now I don't get my bonus damages. It'll still be two D. Six plus three. [00:23:29] Speaker E: Watch Algernon just defeat all of these single handedly. [00:23:32] Speaker A: Ten points of damage. Is it dead? [00:23:36] Speaker B: That's exactly enough. All right. [00:23:41] Speaker A: It's amazing. Backbone. Did you see that? [00:23:46] Speaker F: It was a little cooler that time. [00:23:48] Speaker A: I love the thrill of a hunt. Diane get that warg. And I use my last action to give Diane two actions. [00:23:54] Speaker B: So I imagine Diane runs up and attacks the weaker warg that's next to both. Sid and Nick. [00:24:00] Speaker A: Point out, no, the weaker one's fine. Diane is one level away from getting to where she's double dice for damage. Right now, she's still weak at her level. She will bite down on it. It will attack with its. With a natural. [00:24:16] Speaker B: Diane has a name. [00:24:18] Speaker C: Oh, that's right. Who has the critical. [00:24:20] Speaker A: Yeah, this is an unarmed. [00:24:22] Speaker E: I haven't even opened this box. [00:24:24] Speaker F: Wait, you mean she can't bite with her hands? [00:24:27] Speaker A: Could slash with her talons. [00:24:28] Speaker F: But that would also be unarmed. [00:24:30] Speaker E: Yeah. Okay. Says, got too close. This attack grants and triggers a grapple or grab as a reaction by your enemy. [00:24:37] Speaker B: Oh, no. Diane. Diane runs up to bite the warg, and the biter becomes the bitten. What is Diane's afforditude? DC 19 meets it, beats it, and Diane is grabbed by the warg. [00:24:50] Speaker A: Diane, no backbone. [00:24:54] Speaker B: It's your turn. [00:24:56] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:24:57] Speaker F: So I'm going to inspire courage again because I just can did everybody remember to use that last time? [00:25:04] Speaker E: It did. [00:25:04] Speaker A: I added it as a custom buff. [00:25:06] Speaker F: Yay. [00:25:07] Speaker C: Oh, that's a good idea. [00:25:08] Speaker A: Oh, I didn't add the extra damage. I added as a buff, and I still forgot to add the extra damage. [00:25:13] Speaker E: It doesn't matter because it's dead. [00:25:15] Speaker G: Does the buff apply to Diane? [00:25:17] Speaker B: It does. [00:25:18] Speaker A: That would have been one more to hit. [00:25:20] Speaker B: What would the total have been? [00:25:22] Speaker A: So it would have been a natural. [00:25:26] Speaker F: So from behind the archer, you see just, like, some floating metal come out from underneath his suit jacket. The backbone, by the way. And they just kind of form into needles and just go flying, hopefully, at the most injured warg. Can I do that? [00:25:47] Speaker E: Form into what? [00:25:48] Speaker F: Little needles. [00:25:49] Speaker E: Needles. I heard eels. [00:25:51] Speaker F: That can work, too. [00:25:52] Speaker E: So I was confused. [00:25:54] Speaker F: Either that or do I have a really bad line of sight for the one at the bottom of the hill. [00:26:00] Speaker B: With where you're standing? It would be the same lesser cover for the one at the bottom of the hill and also lesser cover for the one that's holding Diane. [00:26:07] Speaker C: Okay. [00:26:07] Speaker F: Do I have the possibility of hitting one of my allies? [00:26:11] Speaker B: No. [00:26:11] Speaker C: Okay. [00:26:12] Speaker F: Then I'm going for the one holding onto Diane. I'm using my app to roll the dice. It says 16. Does that hit the warc? [00:26:20] Speaker B: That does not hit. Okay, so, like a robot, porcupine spikes come out and they shoot, and they just kind of stab into the grass near the warg's paw. [00:26:28] Speaker F: I really tried. [00:26:30] Speaker B: Wait a minute. Did you add your plus one bonus? [00:26:32] Speaker F: Do I get that? Yes, because it doesn't say that. I get that. You also get my allies. [00:26:38] Speaker B: Get it? You count as your own ally. [00:26:40] Speaker A: You're in the emanation. [00:26:41] Speaker C: Okay. [00:26:42] Speaker F: Does 17 hit? [00:26:43] Speaker B: Yes, it does. [00:26:46] Speaker F: I did roll a 16, right? [00:26:48] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:26:49] Speaker B: Okay, so roll for damage as the spines appear, like they're going to hit the ground next to the paws, and then you courageously redirect them. Okay. [00:26:59] Speaker E: Totally weren't fishing for the AC. [00:27:01] Speaker F: I wasn't. I promise. I don't even know how to do that. [00:27:05] Speaker C: Well, you did a great job of it. [00:27:07] Speaker G: It's our fishing minigame. [00:27:08] Speaker E: Yeah, that's our fishing minigame when we fish for the AC. [00:27:13] Speaker B: That's a callback to an episode four. Listen to the written in the lost seven. All right, it takes the seven. And I believe that is the end of the backbone's turn. [00:27:23] Speaker F: He's the end of the backbone's turn. [00:27:24] Speaker B: All right. The warg that is just down the hill will now go, and it will run around just south of Nick. So now Nick has three wargs surrounding him. [00:27:35] Speaker E: Oh, no. [00:27:36] Speaker D: Throw the other one for me. [00:27:38] Speaker C: That was a special thing I did. Can't just start yeeting wargs. [00:27:42] Speaker B: He's going to bite him. [00:27:43] Speaker A: Oh, no. [00:27:44] Speaker B: With a 25 to hit. [00:27:46] Speaker D: Yes. [00:27:47] Speaker B: And he deals 14 damage. He got a little bit of bonus damage because you're surrounded by his tactics. And then again, he's going to try to clamp down and grab onto you. [00:27:56] Speaker D: So he has to make an athletics check because of unfettered halfling. [00:27:59] Speaker B: And again, your armor dissuades the bite. And he's, like, pulled off. [00:28:03] Speaker A: Excellent. [00:28:03] Speaker E: That's so cool. [00:28:04] Speaker B: And now it is the one that's, like, down corner wise. He's surrounded by his friends. He feels comfortable and confident. [00:28:12] Speaker A: He goes to sleep. [00:28:16] Speaker B: And then he wakes up just in time for his turn. And he will also bite at Nick. [00:28:22] Speaker A: Oh, no. How you Nick? [00:28:24] Speaker D: Bit hurt. We'll see how much this is. [00:28:26] Speaker B: Well, Abby. What you got a natural attack fumble card for? [00:28:32] Speaker E: Um. I love the title of this whirlwind of shame. You hit every creature adjacent to you except for the target. [00:28:42] Speaker C: It hits me. [00:28:43] Speaker B: You mean the fact that he's surrounded by three of his Pack mates? [00:28:48] Speaker C: It hits me, too. [00:28:50] Speaker B: If and y'all don't mind, I'm just going to roll damage once to keep things moving. [00:28:54] Speaker A: That's amazing. Pack tactics. [00:28:57] Speaker B: Interesting. All of his targets are surrounded by two or more to at least two of his pack mates. [00:29:02] Speaker A: I said pactics. [00:29:03] Speaker B: Ten damage. [00:29:04] Speaker A: Yeah, baby. [00:29:05] Speaker B: Oof. Wait, that didn't go well. [00:29:07] Speaker E: Who all did that hit? [00:29:08] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm by it. [00:29:09] Speaker B: So that would hit Adrian. [00:29:11] Speaker A: Wait, hold on. [00:29:13] Speaker F: How much damage did you take? [00:29:14] Speaker C: Ten. [00:29:15] Speaker F: How much do you have left? [00:29:16] Speaker C: 62. [00:29:17] Speaker F: I'm going to spend this card that says play at any time. Give creature. You can see resistance. Five to all damage until the start of your next turn. [00:29:27] Speaker C: Is it going to be me or Adrian? [00:29:31] Speaker B: Wait, Adrian's not going to get hit. [00:29:33] Speaker C: Okay, so is it going to be me then? [00:29:35] Speaker F: So whoever just got hit. [00:29:36] Speaker B: Yes. Sid was the only one of the heroes who was hit by that. [00:29:39] Speaker C: So I take five damage instead? [00:29:41] Speaker B: Yes. [00:29:41] Speaker C: Sick. [00:29:42] Speaker A: Proper use of a hero point. [00:29:44] Speaker F: That's what I'm here for. [00:29:45] Speaker A: I thought yours was. [00:29:48] Speaker C: No, no, I see how to shove hate. It's fine shape. [00:29:51] Speaker B: Speaking of hate, this Warg hates what just happened. He is going to try again to bite Nick. [00:29:57] Speaker A: I think he should just run over. [00:29:58] Speaker B: But better with a penalty. [00:30:01] Speaker E: Do worse. [00:30:02] Speaker B: Yeah, he misses. [00:30:04] Speaker A: Well, it was better because he didn't crit. [00:30:09] Speaker B: He doesn't have a lot of options with having just bit everybody nearby. He's going to swing around the group, kind of squeeze through past Nick and Diane to flank with his friend who's biting Diane. [00:30:23] Speaker C: Let go of Diane. And I'm gonna swing at the one holding onto Diane. Well, first I'm going to wait. How does the one holding on to Diane look? [00:30:33] Speaker B: Pretty beat up. Okay. [00:30:34] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:30:34] Speaker B: He just got bit by his friend. [00:30:36] Speaker C: I'm going to swing and try to hit one in front of. In shock. [00:30:39] Speaker A: He let go of Diane. [00:30:42] Speaker B: No, this happens all the time. He's used to it. [00:30:44] Speaker C: 28. [00:30:46] Speaker B: Yay. It's a critical hit. [00:30:49] Speaker A: It's dead. [00:30:50] Speaker B: I don't even think you needed a crit to kill this one. [00:30:53] Speaker C: I want to know how much damage I did. Where's another d twelve? Gosh darn it. I got one. [00:30:57] Speaker E: Do you need a d twelve? [00:30:58] Speaker C: I got one. Thank you. [00:30:59] Speaker E: Joel, were you about to chuck your metal d twelve in it? [00:31:03] Speaker A: No, not that hard. [00:31:06] Speaker F: He critically failed. He hit me too. [00:31:09] Speaker B: I was going to gracefully arc it. [00:31:11] Speaker C: 46 points of damage. [00:31:13] Speaker E: Whoa. My gosh. [00:31:16] Speaker A: Do you have a useful crit effect on that? [00:31:18] Speaker E: It's a blitter. [00:31:20] Speaker F: It is a pancake. [00:31:23] Speaker C: A great axe. So I don't know what the axes are. [00:31:25] Speaker B: This might be a metaphysical question, but what does it look like when you hit something with a great axe and deal more damage than its maximum health? [00:31:34] Speaker E: Go into the ground a little bit. [00:31:36] Speaker C: Yeah, it goes into the ground a little bit. It's chopped in half and just blood splurts specifically on me. [00:31:42] Speaker E: Like an anime. [00:31:43] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:31:43] Speaker F: More blood than humanly wardedly possible. [00:31:47] Speaker C: It's the group axe. Do you know what the group axe does? Oh, critical. Choose one creature adjacent to the initial target within reach. If its ac is lower than your attack, roll for the critical hit, you deal damage to that creature equal to the roll of your weapon. Damage die. Including extra damage for its potency rune, if any. So the adjacent one also gets dealt 13 damage. [00:32:08] Speaker A: It's one of the adjacent ones. [00:32:09] Speaker C: The only one that's close to me that I can hit. [00:32:11] Speaker A: Oh, I thought it just need to be adjacent to the enemy. Oh, and within reach. [00:32:13] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:32:14] Speaker A: So the one to the south of 13 points of damage. [00:32:17] Speaker G: Wow. [00:32:17] Speaker B: So, yeah, you just cleave right through the warg that was biting onto Diane and just keep that momentum going and just, like, hack into the side of the one next to you. And it is also not looking good. Now. [00:32:28] Speaker C: And then I'm going to swing at it. And since my weapon has sweep, I get a plus one circumstance bonus. [00:32:35] Speaker B: Just drive that momentum through. [00:32:37] Speaker C: Keep it going. So, let's see. 15 minus five is ten, plus one is eleven. Okay, I'm going to glimpse weakness. [00:32:46] Speaker B: It. [00:32:46] Speaker C: But first. So this will be my third action. 16. [00:32:49] Speaker B: That will miss. Yeah, unfortunately. [00:32:52] Speaker C: That's okay. [00:32:53] Speaker E: Hey, you had a really good turn. [00:32:55] Speaker B: Yeah, I did have. [00:32:56] Speaker C: I'm not upset about it at all. [00:32:58] Speaker B: And it is Adrian's turn. [00:33:00] Speaker G: I would like the one closest to me to make. Will save, please. [00:33:03] Speaker B: Ooh. [00:33:04] Speaker C: What's the DC 21? [00:33:05] Speaker B: A fail. [00:33:06] Speaker E: Regular fail. [00:33:07] Speaker B: A regular fail. [00:33:08] Speaker G: That still works. He's going to take eleven mental damage, as he has days, but he's not stunned. He's okay for that. [00:33:15] Speaker B: Getting hurt all up in his mind. [00:33:16] Speaker G: I'm going to try and stab him. [00:33:19] Speaker B: Round one, touch and stab. Round two, mind touch and stab. [00:33:24] Speaker A: 19 that hits. [00:33:26] Speaker B: This is one of the tougher wargs. But the 19 does hit. [00:33:28] Speaker G: Eleven. Stabby stab. [00:33:30] Speaker B: Wow. Nice. 22 damage. Overall, he's not looking good. He is now bloodied and it is now the southernmost Warg. Who is standing next to Sid and just wiped the sweat off his brow as he was missed. It is his turn. [00:33:43] Speaker A: It's South Warg. [00:33:44] Speaker B: South Warg. South Warg sadly realizes that he had a reaction he should have used, but he will shake that off and bites it. A 24. [00:33:52] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:33:53] Speaker B: He deals. Seven damage. [00:33:55] Speaker A: No more tactics. [00:33:56] Speaker B: But then he will clamp down with his jaw and you are grabbed because you're not a Trixie little athlete. [00:34:01] Speaker C: Yes, I am. [00:34:02] Speaker B: Roll. Well, I guess, if you say so. But as he is continuing to bite you and hold on to you with his jaw, he'll just, like, kind of crunch down. In another bite. Attack. And he misses and lark, it is your turn. [00:34:17] Speaker E: Where am I? [00:34:18] Speaker B: You are here. [00:34:18] Speaker E: Thank you. [00:34:19] Speaker B: Up the hill, next to Adrian, next to Diane and next to a Warg. [00:34:24] Speaker E: Thank you. [00:34:25] Speaker B: Who is a tougher Warg? [00:34:26] Speaker A: It's north of Warg. [00:34:27] Speaker E: North Warg. [00:34:28] Speaker D: Northwark. [00:34:29] Speaker E: Northwark. [00:34:30] Speaker G: Narg. [00:34:30] Speaker E: Narg. [00:34:33] Speaker B: Yeah. This is the warg that bit all of his friends. [00:34:35] Speaker E: I was going to try to produce flame on it, but I don't think that hits. [00:34:38] Speaker C: What'd you roll? [00:34:39] Speaker E: A 13. [00:34:40] Speaker B: Unfortunately, you produce flame elsewhere. [00:34:45] Speaker E: Okay, well. [00:34:47] Speaker F: Oh, look, evidence of a dragon. [00:34:50] Speaker E: Would it be an action to take my club? [00:34:54] Speaker B: To draw the club. [00:34:54] Speaker E: To draw the club, yeah. Okay, that's a waste of an action, then. I did not have it drawn. I would like. Wait, if I move, is it going to bite me? [00:35:06] Speaker A: We don't know if orcs have Ao's. [00:35:08] Speaker D: Although Jordy Goblin dog, that did. [00:35:10] Speaker A: Yeah, Jordy did say that he had a reaction that he didn't use earlier that he could have. However, Jenkins did run past a huge group of them without getting aoed, but. [00:35:19] Speaker C: He could have just been setting a track. [00:35:20] Speaker A: I know he's a trixie. Sam, think you're safe to run? [00:35:25] Speaker E: I mean, I just want to back up. [00:35:26] Speaker C: Like you could do a guarded step. [00:35:28] Speaker E: 10Ft. [00:35:29] Speaker C: Oh, 10ft. [00:35:29] Speaker E: Never mind. Feet away. I want to back up. [00:35:32] Speaker B: You cautiously stride away. And the Warg growls to himself, wishing he had an opportunity. Nick, it is your turn. [00:35:41] Speaker A: Man, those bites hurt. [00:35:44] Speaker D: So now there's only one warg next to me. Many of his friends. Either the runaway or died. [00:35:48] Speaker B: Yes. [00:35:49] Speaker A: Please don't explode now. [00:35:50] Speaker D: I'm not going to anymore. [00:35:51] Speaker C: You can diagonally move, then explode. [00:35:53] Speaker D: That's only two of them. [00:35:54] Speaker C: Would it hit me, though? [00:35:55] Speaker D: It would. [00:35:56] Speaker C: I'm okay. [00:35:57] Speaker A: You could stride down to the spot below the two of them. [00:35:59] Speaker C: I could go down beyond that. [00:36:01] Speaker D: Or what I think I'm going to do instead is I'm going to first overdrive my armor. So that's one action. So I have to attempt a crafting check with a standard DC crafting check. That is a ten on the die, plus twelve for my crafting skill. [00:36:15] Speaker B: Regular success. [00:36:16] Speaker A: What does. [00:36:16] Speaker B: All right. [00:36:17] Speaker D: Regular success. Well, now that my armor has been overdrived, it will last for a little bit. My gizmo is going to overdrive, adding power to my attacks as a critical success. Except the additional damage is equal to half your intelligence modifier. [00:36:32] Speaker C: But it was a normal success. [00:36:34] Speaker D: That is normal success. [00:36:35] Speaker B: Okay. [00:36:35] Speaker D: I think the critical success on the strike is what it is. [00:36:38] Speaker B: So what it's doing is it's listing out the effects you'll get in the critical success. And then on the regular success, you only get half of those effects. So you'd want to reference what's in the critical success. [00:36:49] Speaker D: So my strike deals additional damage equal to my intelligence modifier for 1 minute. [00:36:54] Speaker B: Got you. [00:36:54] Speaker A: But instead it's half your intelligence modifier. [00:36:57] Speaker D: Yes. [00:36:57] Speaker A: That's cool. [00:36:58] Speaker C: It's cool. [00:36:58] Speaker D: That's one action. And then how's the one next to me looking? Is it okay? [00:37:03] Speaker B: I think the only time he's been hit is by his budy. Yeah, he was bit by his buddy. That's the only hit he's taken. [00:37:08] Speaker D: Okay, well, instead of spinning an action to raise my shield, I'm just going to go for the megaton strike instead for two other action that will be I make a strike. So let's see if this hopefully hits. [00:37:18] Speaker B: That is a 20, and that's a hit. [00:37:21] Speaker D: 21. Thank you for the plus one from the bard. So regular hit. [00:37:23] Speaker B: Cool. [00:37:24] Speaker E: Oh, I forgot about the plus one. [00:37:27] Speaker D: And because it's megaton strike, I deal an extra die of weapon damage. So that's three D six, plus one from the bar. And then also plus my intelligence modifier as well. Half my intelligence modifier. [00:37:36] Speaker B: So three D six plus strength, plus. [00:37:38] Speaker D: Half intelligence plus 1914 on the die total. And then three for strength, I think then two. Is it rounding up on modifier or rounding down? [00:37:47] Speaker B: Rounding down. [00:37:48] Speaker D: Rounding down. So then that'd be only plus one from that. So that is 14, 1819 damage. [00:37:54] Speaker B: Wow. [00:37:54] Speaker D: As I imagine the megaton is strike you. So you're like, I go wind up my arm to strike with my hammer and you see like my armor start to add in like tension until it reaches breakpoint and then just releases in a heavier hit. [00:38:06] Speaker A: That was a great blow, Nick. [00:38:08] Speaker B: And that was a heavy blow. That warg went from only being bit by his friend to not looking good. He's on his last legs now. [00:38:15] Speaker C: Nice. [00:38:16] Speaker D: But that is all my actions then. [00:38:17] Speaker B: And that brings us to the head of round three. Just a quick recap. Goblin dog is dead. One of the weaker wargs is dead. There are two tougher wargs remaining. One next to Sid and one next to Diane and Adrian. And then one of the weaker wargs still up and next to Nick. And it is Aldrinon's turn. [00:38:37] Speaker A: I'm going to give Diane two actions to the Chelsea's. The one on the wark at the top half. Is it looking really bad? [00:38:46] Speaker B: He's bloodied. [00:38:47] Speaker A: Which one's the worst looking one? [00:38:49] Speaker B: The one over by Nick. [00:38:51] Speaker A: Diane's going to move down there. Can it flank with Nick? [00:38:55] Speaker B: It can. It'll be a little bit down the hill, but not so much as to be a problem. [00:38:59] Speaker A: Then she will go down the hill and flank with Nick and she will attempt to bite this warg. In case you're wondering, she has 50ft of movement, so she can get around pretty well. Yeah. 19. [00:39:11] Speaker C: Nice. [00:39:12] Speaker B: That's a hit. [00:39:14] Speaker A: Nine points of damage. [00:39:15] Speaker B: So Diane runs around, flanks with Nick and just chomps on the warg, who just decides it's not worth it to keep fighting. [00:39:24] Speaker E: Did she just kill this thing? [00:39:26] Speaker C: She got it nice. [00:39:28] Speaker A: As she chomps down on its throat, it decides it doesn't want to live anymore. Is that what she just said? [00:39:34] Speaker B: It's just not worth resisting anymore. He just got smacked in the face with a hammer designed to break walls. [00:39:40] Speaker D: Yes, it's true. [00:39:41] Speaker A: I probably only killed it thanks to inspire courage. So ten out of ten. Thanks, Mike. [00:39:45] Speaker E: Thanks. Petite. [00:39:46] Speaker A: Then he is going to hunt prey. The one below? No, the one right at the top, because there's no cover there. And then throw a boomerang 18 with inspire courage. [00:39:59] Speaker B: That's a miss. [00:40:01] Speaker A: I will use my hero point play. After you fail an attack roll, you succeed instead. [00:40:06] Speaker B: That's a hit. [00:40:08] Speaker A: You missed. Did I? [00:40:10] Speaker B: So the boomerang, like, swings past his head and the ward looks at you like, and then just comes back around. [00:40:16] Speaker A: 19 points of damage. [00:40:18] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. He went from bloody to not doing good. [00:40:22] Speaker A: Thank you. That's my turn. Hunted prey as an action jody. [00:40:28] Speaker B: I missed that one. All right, backbone. [00:40:31] Speaker F: So this is definitely a question I should have asked a while back. Within a 60 foot emanation, does that mean 30ft in all directions around me or 60ft? [00:40:42] Speaker B: 60Ft around you. So I marked on the map this, like, vague circle, inspire courage is good. Yeah, a lot of range, generally. Inspire courage is like, if you are out of range of inspire courage, you're on the opposite side of the battlefield, basically. [00:40:55] Speaker A: If you could hear it, you're good. [00:40:56] Speaker F: I figured it was good, so I'm. [00:40:59] Speaker A: Going to keep doing. [00:40:59] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:41:00] Speaker C: Hey, you guys, you're inspired again. [00:41:03] Speaker A: I must say, I really enjoy this tune. What do you call it? [00:41:07] Speaker F: It's called yelling. [00:41:10] Speaker A: Well, short and sweet. [00:41:12] Speaker F: So the needle. The darts. Needle darts, that's the spell name. Dart pops out from underneath my coat again and they fly towards the, I'm going to say the stronger of the works. [00:41:25] Speaker B: So the one that has more health or just one of the. Because the two that are up are the two tough ones now. Okay, so there's one that's healthier down by Sid, and then one that's on his last leg up by Adrian. [00:41:35] Speaker A: Last legs. [00:41:36] Speaker F: All right, we're going to try to. Yes. [00:41:38] Speaker G: Kill it. [00:41:38] Speaker A: Backbone. I believe in you. [00:41:40] Speaker C: You got this. [00:41:40] Speaker F: 24. [00:41:42] Speaker B: That's a hit. [00:41:42] Speaker C: Don't forget your bonus. Damage from yourself. [00:41:45] Speaker F: That's damage, right? [00:41:46] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:41:46] Speaker C: Damage rolls. [00:41:47] Speaker A: All attack rolls and damage rolls get buffed. Doesn't have to be a strike. [00:41:50] Speaker F: That three looked like an eight. [00:41:51] Speaker B: And I was really wondering why there. [00:41:53] Speaker F: Was an eight on my 4432. Don't say 1910. [00:41:58] Speaker C: Ten. [00:42:00] Speaker B: And the needle darts finish the war. All right, so you inspired courage. You needle darted a warg to death. And it is now Sid's turn. Sid, you are face to face with the last remaining warg. [00:42:11] Speaker C: He has me grappled. [00:42:12] Speaker B: He does. [00:42:12] Speaker C: What does that do? [00:42:13] Speaker G: Again? [00:42:14] Speaker B: You are flat footed. [00:42:15] Speaker C: Oh, that's it. [00:42:15] Speaker B: And if you try to take a manipulate action, you have to succeed. A flat DC five. Check. And you cannot walk away from him. [00:42:23] Speaker C: I'm going to intimidate him. [00:42:24] Speaker B: That's the thing you can do with my prowess. [00:42:26] Speaker C: 29. [00:42:26] Speaker B: He is very frightened as you critically succeeded on your intimidation. Check. [00:42:31] Speaker C: And then I'm just going to swing for him. 28. [00:42:38] Speaker B: Critical hit. [00:42:39] Speaker E: Oh, my. [00:42:41] Speaker B: Because you intimidated him. Yes. [00:42:45] Speaker A: Kill it. Sit. [00:42:54] Speaker C: 54 points of damage. [00:42:58] Speaker B: Once again, enough damage to kill him from full. [00:43:01] Speaker A: You hit it so hard, you bludgeoned it. [00:43:05] Speaker D: I don't think you can identify what that was anymore. [00:43:07] Speaker C: No. [00:43:08] Speaker B: And with that, the last of the canid combatants are dead. [00:43:12] Speaker A: What a show. Wow, those teeth hurt. [00:43:16] Speaker F: That certainly wasn't a dragon. [00:43:18] Speaker C: I'm a little hurt. [00:43:19] Speaker A: Did you guys see how I took that thing on and killed it? [00:43:23] Speaker C: I'm sorry I couldn't help you. I was just worried about my new dad. [00:43:25] Speaker A: That's fine. It apparently couldn't climb back up the cliff, and it was quite easy to just kill. [00:43:30] Speaker B: And I'm going to call a halt to the whole proceedings. Court is in session. I want to vote. And Sam and Jenkins can't vote. Which of them should get the hero point? [00:43:38] Speaker E: Oh, okay. You guys can have joint custody of. [00:43:43] Speaker A: The hero point better than only one of us getting. [00:43:47] Speaker E: And you guys get to decide on it together. [00:43:48] Speaker B: And this tale of orphans and strange family joint custody. This has been an atomic broadcasting production.
