[00:00:00] Speaker A: Records of the unknown. Operation Convergence involve story elements that some may find disturbing, including violence, psychological horror and depictions of suicide. Listener discretion is advised. You are listening to an Atomic Broadcasting production. So sit back, relax and enjoy the feature presentation it. And remember, do your part, such as like comment rate. And don't forget to tell a friend to tune in for an Atomic time. [00:00:49] Speaker B: Slipped an expectedly and drew the attention of an OD. Blob. Gray oily roughly the size of an adult's head. It latched itself to his hand, eating or melting away the flesh and even most of the bone. Both Agents Green and Olive escaped the room and fled to the woods to regroup and recover. Agent Gray was shocked by a horrifying vision, but after stabilizing, he and Teal discovered in the records that it was not tax season. They briefly spoke to Thomas Allen, one of the aldermen and another of the ill informed citizenry of Groversville. And then they stumbled upon Agents Green and Olive as Olive finished sawing off the bony remains of Agent Green's hand. [00:01:57] Speaker C: How common a thing to give in the great conspiracy, trust is to be held at arm's length. You may think you and your fellow agents share a common goal. But when you see them again, how do you know they are still themselves? How do you know if you can trust them the same way again? September 13, 1996. 06:37 P.m. Groversville, Tennessee Just north of town, there's a field. Past that field is a tree line. Next to that tree line is one, but now two FBI vehicles, both of them now locked and closed. Further into the trees, agents Gray and Agents Teal flank around a tree and see Agent Green laying with his arm outstretched and Agent Olive with a bone saw, just finishing cutting off the remains of his hand. I need sanity checks from everyone except for Green because I already went through it. [00:03:09] Speaker D: Jenkins. Jenkins. [00:03:13] Speaker E: Did you get a 100? [00:03:14] Speaker F: No. [00:03:15] Speaker D: Did you get a 99? [00:03:16] Speaker F: No. I thought I did for a second. Yeah, I got a 96 over 70. [00:03:21] Speaker D: 45 under 53, 31 under 88. [00:03:25] Speaker C: Agent Teal, you lose two sanity points. Agent Olive, as you have just finished, and you're holding the bones on your hand, looking at the remains on the ground, will you roll me a power check? [00:03:40] Speaker D: Sure. Got a 100. [00:03:43] Speaker C: Oh, that's great. [00:03:45] Speaker E: I am very proud of you. [00:03:46] Speaker C: As you're looking down at the remains of the bones, everything goes black. Darkness surrounds you. You hear murmuring, pacing. Then a light comes on and you realize your eyes are closed when you open them. You see you're in a dark room. The ground and walls are stone. You seem to be in a basement. You try to move, but you see you're tied to a chair at your wrists and your ankles. The ground below you is stained with blood, old and new. Several people stand in the room. Their faces are blur to you. One man is obscured behind the now vibrant lavender light saw. You ready to talk yet? You don't have to answer, of course. We've got time to kill. I just have a couple of things I need answered first. I start with a simple question. What happened to the baby? You say something in response, and they didn't seem to like it. You're now in pain, bleeding. You think you made a good deal, don't you? The program. You think he'll protect you? Tell me when you went to Groversville. The man steps forward, revealing himself. The skin on his face is stretched towards the back of his head, still hanging on by staples. His skin is a white gray color. He bears his teeth in a grin, and you see them as sharp as a shark's. And on his suit is a patch, a triangle. The three edges have words on them supra et, ultra. And in the center of the triangle is the earth with a knife plunged into the top of it. Did you think you were going to survive? He lifts his arms, revealing the body you saw in the bathtub. But we'll make use of you anyway. You wouldn't want the authorities to find out what's going on with you, would you? He lifts the body closer to you, and reaching out from its nose, ears, and mouth is this gray oozy look reaching for you. A loud buzzing begins to grow and grow and grow, and the light begins flashing in every color, even those you could never fully explain or even comprehend. As you feel, this gray matter reach into you and pull itself through whatever orifice it can reach. And then you wake up looking down at the bone because you crit failed. You take six willpower points of damage, and I need an additional sanity check. [00:07:00] Speaker D: Hang on. [00:07:02] Speaker C: 16 under 88, you lose six sanity points. Time that's now, hold on. That will put you into a temporary insanity. [00:07:13] Speaker D: That's also fair. [00:07:14] Speaker C: Would you like to project this? You'll lose willpower points as well as bond points, or do you want to take the whole six? [00:07:23] Speaker D: I'll just take it. [00:07:25] Speaker C: Abby, would you flee, fight, or freeze in this scenario? [00:07:30] Speaker D: Freeze, probably. [00:07:32] Speaker C: How does that all work out in your head, this whole scenario? Run us through. How Olive's feeling, if you will. [00:07:38] Speaker D: Olive is feeling very creeped out. Probably has some gross tingles going down the back of her neck, maybe, I don't know, trying to brush something off that's not really there. Kind of wide eyed. Definitely looks freaked out. [00:07:54] Speaker C: Gray and teal. You both come around. You see Agent Green leaning against the tree. He looks like he's feeling pretty good right now. You see a pill bottle sprayed across the ground, and Olive is just staring intently at this little bit of bone left over with her eyes. [00:08:13] Speaker D: Just like, whited over, probably still kneeling on the ground. [00:08:17] Speaker C: I have not moved with a bonesaw shaking in her hand. [00:08:20] Speaker A: What in Sam hell is we leave. [00:08:24] Speaker F: You two alone for half a day. [00:08:27] Speaker C: What? [00:08:28] Speaker D: At the sound of your voice, Olive snaps out of it, and she jerks and looks around frantically at the both of you. [00:08:39] Speaker A: Well, first of all, hello, Green. [00:08:42] Speaker E: How are you? [00:08:43] Speaker A: And I just immediately you watch her and I go and I start tying like, take off my belt and start tying it around your heart. [00:08:53] Speaker E: So much to update you on. [00:08:56] Speaker C: So you going up there. The wound is very well taken care of already. Aside from the bone that was just cut off, the flesh is already all patched up and great. [00:09:05] Speaker A: Is it bleeding still? [00:09:06] Speaker C: No, it looked like it had in the past, but they had already taken care of what? And that they had just gotten rid of the remainder bone. [00:09:13] Speaker A: What? I just grabbed your arm and look at it. [00:09:17] Speaker E: So, funny story. I'm not in as much pain as I think I should be, but we went to the hotel and we found. [00:09:27] Speaker A: A lot of stuff, and I just point to the arm. [00:09:32] Speaker F: You weren't supposed to go to the hotel. You were supposed to. [00:09:36] Speaker E: That's where we went. There. We found Jane. [00:09:41] Speaker A: Jane. [00:09:43] Speaker E: We also found Jane's kidnapper. [00:09:47] Speaker A: What? [00:09:47] Speaker F: Now, hold on. She was kidnapped? [00:09:49] Speaker A: She was kidnapped? [00:09:51] Speaker E: Well, to a degree. Depends on how you define kidnapping. You see? [00:09:58] Speaker F: Taken against your will. [00:10:00] Speaker E: She's also pregnant. Good news. That's not she's about nine months pregnant with Billy's child. [00:10:09] Speaker F: Now, hold on. How can she be nine months pregnant and no one noticed? [00:10:14] Speaker E: It's fascinating, isn't it? She's also eaten about, like, nine months worth of food, so I guess that kind of makes sense. [00:10:21] Speaker A: That doesn't answer the question. Well, first of all first question first question I have in all of this shoot. [00:10:30] Speaker F: Don't actually shoot, which, believe it or. [00:10:32] Speaker E: Not, we did fire our gun. [00:10:34] Speaker A: Why is your arm not bleeding? [00:10:37] Speaker E: Well, that's because we patched shit up. That's not how to answer that story. We have to go back to the kidnapper. I think I might need another dose. So the kidnapper, we found his room very messy. We found him in a bathtub, dead, who presumably suicide. [00:11:02] Speaker F: At what point were you going to come get us? [00:11:06] Speaker E: We were literally coming to come get you when we got attacked by a little blob. Like a blob. [00:11:13] Speaker A: Imagine a blob. Blob. [00:11:16] Speaker E: Imagine. [00:11:17] Speaker F: I'm sorry. [00:11:20] Speaker E: Like a blob of glue. [00:11:22] Speaker F: I'm going to cut you. [00:11:24] Speaker E: Very acidic and very painful. [00:11:27] Speaker F: You have clearly had a very traumatic event here. Olive, please explain. Hopefully with a little bit more sense. [00:11:36] Speaker E: And it ate my hand. [00:11:38] Speaker F: Your hands. [00:11:39] Speaker E: Your hands right there. [00:11:40] Speaker C: No, that's like there's about 50% to 30% of a bone there. The rest is gone. It looks like it was melted or eaten. The rest of it? [00:11:50] Speaker A: Why did you cut off your hand? [00:11:52] Speaker E: I cut off the bones that were left. [00:11:55] Speaker F: Why? [00:11:56] Speaker D: To prevent it from spreading up his arm. [00:11:58] Speaker A: It spread? [00:11:59] Speaker D: Maybe. We don't know. [00:12:01] Speaker A: Okay, Olive, it was to prevent put down the saw. [00:12:06] Speaker D: She looks at the saw. Tosses it to the ground. [00:12:08] Speaker A: Now, Olive. All right. Why don't you sit there and sit down? You stay sitting. What did you give him? [00:12:20] Speaker D: A lot of painkillers. [00:12:22] Speaker F: Where did you get the painkillers? [00:12:24] Speaker D: I don't know. [00:12:25] Speaker F: What do you mean, you don't know? [00:12:27] Speaker D: I don't remember. [00:12:28] Speaker F: Okay. [00:12:29] Speaker E: We went to Merle's. The drugstore? [00:12:32] Speaker F: Yeah, that sounds and did you did you go inside? [00:12:37] Speaker E: Did I go inside? [00:12:38] Speaker F: Yes. You specifically? [00:12:39] Speaker E: No, I just sat in the car. [00:12:41] Speaker A: You sat in the car after your hand had been eaten? [00:12:45] Speaker E: What else was I supposed to do? [00:12:47] Speaker A: And you said it was spreading. [00:12:49] Speaker E: No, it's still trapped in the room, presumably. [00:12:56] Speaker D: Let me try to start from the beginning. We went to the hotel so he could get, I think, something out of the room. I don't remember. We ran into the person who works the receptionist at the front desk, but before that, I saw someone watching us through a window. And in a roundabout sort of way, we found out that it was Jane who was staying there, but we stole the key so we could go in there. I knocked. No one came to the door, so we opened the door and it's weird. It's weird how she's, like skin and bones. [00:13:48] Speaker E: Yeah, she's starving. [00:13:50] Speaker D: She has, like, no muscle mass, nothing. No fat, nothing. She looks nine months pregnant. But she said she's only, like, a few weeks with Billy's baby, but somehow she looks nine months pregnant. [00:14:04] Speaker F: Now, I may be wrong, but. [00:14:09] Speaker A: The. [00:14:09] Speaker F: Timelines don't it doesn't. [00:14:14] Speaker A: Well, I'm just. [00:14:15] Speaker F: Putting all of this together here. Green. All right? [00:14:18] Speaker D: Her skin is, like, gray, like ashen, and she's eating ungodly amounts of food like it's nothing. And she's saying that she's hungry. All the. [00:14:30] Speaker A: On hold. Where is the blog? [00:14:32] Speaker D: I'm not there yet to that point in the story. [00:14:35] Speaker A: So you found Jane? [00:14:36] Speaker D: Yes. [00:14:37] Speaker A: She's nine months by two weeks pregnant. [00:14:42] Speaker E: Which means she's going to give birth. [00:14:43] Speaker D: It's weird. So we found out that she checked into the hotel with a guy named Scott Adams. [00:14:54] Speaker A: Scott. Wait. [00:14:55] Speaker D: Scott Adams. [00:14:57] Speaker A: Scott Adams? [00:14:58] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:14:59] Speaker A: Teal. Teal? [00:15:00] Speaker F: Wasn't that yeah, he was the oh, you know him. [00:15:05] Speaker A: The crazy one. [00:15:06] Speaker E: He's dead. So I guess I was getting there. [00:15:09] Speaker F: Ain't going to get their interview? [00:15:10] Speaker A: No. [00:15:12] Speaker D: Apparently this guy had been bringing her loads and loads and loads and loads of food, and the room she was in was just covered and it was just garbage of food containers, empty food containers and groceries and stuff. But she looks starved now. [00:15:33] Speaker F: She's only been missing two days. [00:15:36] Speaker A: Two days? [00:15:36] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:15:37] Speaker F: And weeks worth of food. [00:15:41] Speaker D: Yeah. And we brought her some food because she was complaining about how hungry she was. But even after eating it, it's like it wasn't ever enough. [00:15:51] Speaker E: Wolfed it down? [00:15:53] Speaker F: Yeah, eaten for two. [00:15:55] Speaker A: That must mean that her mother might. [00:15:59] Speaker E: Have been lying to us, or I doubt she knows. [00:16:03] Speaker F: Yeah, her mom seemed real out of it. I don't think she has any idea what's going on. [00:16:08] Speaker A: No, something's going on there. [00:16:10] Speaker F: Now, after you gave her the food, did you get any information off her? [00:16:15] Speaker D: Not a lot. Not really. Mainly just that the guy who was bringing her the food suddenly stopped showing up a couple of days ago. But the guy was staying in the room across the hall from her. So we left her, told her we'd be back with more food, which guess we should do that at some point. But we went across the hall, knocked on the door. No one answered. So we broke into his room. And it's also trashed. Just piles of stuff everywhere. Didn't see anybody originally. But then we went into the bathroom, and there was this guy in a bathtub full of blood. His wrists were slit open, and he was dead. [00:17:13] Speaker F: Did you check for any ID or I tried. [00:17:19] Speaker D: We couldn't find anything. I mean, the room is absolutely garbage, and we figured we'd get you two and go back. But then I don't remember why someone reached into the bathtub. [00:17:36] Speaker E: Oh, that was me. [00:17:37] Speaker D: I don't remember why. [00:17:39] Speaker E: That's because I was trying to see if I could tell how long he's been dead or at least to see if he was warm or cold. [00:17:47] Speaker F: Do you have any medical experience? [00:17:49] Speaker E: I know some, but it doesn't matter because the floor was very slippery. [00:17:54] Speaker A: What? [00:17:55] Speaker F: So what happened? Is that why his hand is so. [00:17:59] Speaker D: No, I mean, partially. [00:18:02] Speaker A: Could be. [00:18:03] Speaker D: Well, you see let me continue. [00:18:06] Speaker A: Hold on, Mr. [00:18:07] Speaker D: Drunk man. [00:18:08] Speaker A: Hold on. [00:18:09] Speaker F: Hold on. [00:18:10] Speaker A: Cotton pick a minute. [00:18:11] Speaker D: What? [00:18:11] Speaker A: Your arm's. Okay? I don't know where the store is going. Is that Jane Speck at the hotel? [00:18:16] Speaker D: Can I finish the finish can we. [00:18:19] Speaker A: Finish it in the car? [00:18:20] Speaker D: No. [00:18:24] Speaker E: Don'T worry. I feel good enough to drive. [00:18:27] Speaker D: So after he kind of sort of fell into the bathtub my arm water. Someone tried to trap us in the room. The door slammed shut, and someone put, like, a chair underneath the doorknob. [00:18:44] Speaker E: You know, that actually could have been Scott Adams, potentially. [00:18:47] Speaker D: But I broke the door back open. Couldn't see anyone in the hall. [00:18:52] Speaker E: So whoever it was left potentially grabbed chain. [00:18:56] Speaker D: Maybe. We didn't go back to check because other things came up. The other things would be this yeah, his hand situation. Then there was this splashing noise. Something crawled out of somewhere. And when he says it was a blob, that's pretty much what it was. It attacked and it attached to his hand, and it was like it was draining energy from him or something because his hand started to shrivel. [00:19:34] Speaker A: Draining energy from him? [00:19:36] Speaker D: That's the only thing that I can. [00:19:39] Speaker E: Equate it to burning and teeth. [00:19:41] Speaker A: And his hands started doing what melting. [00:19:44] Speaker D: Shriveling, melting. [00:19:45] Speaker F: No, I don't mean to be too I wasn't in that situation. And I'm sure you both handled yourselves very well. But you fired a gun at it. [00:19:57] Speaker D: I did. [00:19:58] Speaker F: In a hotel filled with civilians? [00:20:00] Speaker D: Yes. [00:20:00] Speaker F: And no one showed up and asked questions? [00:20:03] Speaker D: No. The front desk worker was out by the pool. She wasn't even in the building when all this happened. So if she heard anything, she didn't come check. She may not have heard anything. I don't know. [00:20:16] Speaker F: And do you know what room the Blob originated from? [00:20:21] Speaker E: I still got the key. [00:20:22] Speaker D: The same room. [00:20:24] Speaker F: We were in the bathroom. [00:20:25] Speaker D: The bathroom. It got away. [00:20:29] Speaker F: Presume I believe it got away. [00:20:31] Speaker D: It went underneath all the clutter and trash in the room. And we were just concerned about getting out of there, especially after what we saw happen to his hand and the. [00:20:40] Speaker E: Bullet went through it. [00:20:42] Speaker D: Then I was afraid that it might spread up his arm somehow, and it was just bone left behind, so we decided to cut it off. That's what happened. [00:20:54] Speaker A: How'd you get out here? [00:20:56] Speaker D: This is where we drove to. Because if he's screaming in town, people are going to come try and figure. [00:21:02] Speaker C: Out what's happening after she kind of finishes regaling this story. And you guys are looking at everything. Could I have the two of you just make another sanity check for the situation or how it affects you if it does at all. [00:21:18] Speaker A: 74 over 50. [00:21:20] Speaker F: 315 under 68. [00:21:23] Speaker C: Agent Gray. [00:21:24] Speaker A: Yep. [00:21:24] Speaker C: Take four points of sanity damage. Now, you can attempt to project it if you would like, but you will lose willpower points in a bond. If your willpower drops to one or two, everything's at a -20% if it's zero. You are out of control. You're unconscious or incapacitated by an emotional meltdown. Would you like to project or just take the four? [00:21:47] Speaker A: I'll project. [00:21:48] Speaker C: All right. Roll one, d four three. So you only take one sanity point. You lose three willpower, and one of your bonds decreases by three. Which bond would you like to decrease? [00:21:58] Speaker A: Still my assistant. [00:21:59] Speaker C: What is your assistant down to now. [00:22:01] Speaker A: With the three nine. [00:22:02] Speaker C: So how do you two with your success and your failure, how do you handle taking this information? If you even fully believe what you just heard? [00:22:12] Speaker A: Grey is just after hearing that, you just see him take a deep breath and just kind of without really thinking about he still has a gun in his hand, he's just going to kind of listlessly, hold it to his side and turn around and run a hand through his hair. And you're just going to hear. [00:22:35] Speaker C: And you hear just the slightest faintest buzz in the back of your head. Teal, how do you handle taking this information? [00:22:46] Speaker F: So most of Teal's actual job in the CIA is receiving information constantly from his foreign spies that he controls his assets. So since he passed, he's very much used to receiving shocking information and not being a part of it. So he's just going to be like, yeah, this is a little abnormal, but nothing bad. Things happen. Sort of push past it like it's just another report. [00:23:17] Speaker A: What are we going to do about this? Obviously you don't need any more medical. [00:23:21] Speaker E: Attention until tomorrow, maybe. [00:23:23] Speaker A: That's a lot of information. You said Gray's back at the hotel. [00:23:27] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:23:29] Speaker A: No, I mean Adams. Adams. [00:23:31] Speaker E: Presumably he's either the body or the chairman. [00:23:35] Speaker D: We didn't check for an ID, but we assume it was Adams. [00:23:39] Speaker A: What I don't like about this story is that you said it felt like it was sucking the life out of your hand. [00:23:45] Speaker E: Well, it felt like more like it was eating my hand or melting it. And then it tried to go in it. [00:23:52] Speaker D: Yeah, it did. [00:23:53] Speaker F: It tried to go in his hand. [00:23:55] Speaker D: It tried to enter his body through the hole it was creating in his hand. [00:24:01] Speaker F: Now I'm normally not one for conspiracy theories, but is it possible that the blob was living in the dead man? [00:24:11] Speaker D: It's possible. [00:24:12] Speaker F: The reason why he killed himself? [00:24:15] Speaker D: Possible. I don't know. [00:24:18] Speaker A: What about that? Nine months, but only a few week pregnancy? [00:24:23] Speaker F: Very much could be because she's emaciated. It could be literally sucking. [00:24:27] Speaker E: And just a little reminder, nine months is about time to give birth. [00:24:32] Speaker A: We should get back now. [00:24:33] Speaker F: I don't know what we can do. [00:24:35] Speaker E: But prepare for a blob baby. [00:24:38] Speaker F: Well, I'm not raising it. [00:24:40] Speaker A: This almost calls for another phone call. [00:24:42] Speaker F: We've already bugged him enough. If things get out of hand, if we can make it till tomorrow, we can run some tests and maybe get this place quarantined. [00:24:52] Speaker A: So right now control. [00:24:53] Speaker F: Right now, control. We need to focus on containing it in the hotel and making sure no one else knows of it. Remember, the most important part of our job right now is to cover up. [00:25:07] Speaker E: That's going to be hard. [00:25:08] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:25:08] Speaker A: There's more to this story. There's more to this town. [00:25:11] Speaker F: Now I fully understand there's a lot going on, but we need to focus on the block. [00:25:16] Speaker D: Did you guys find anything out? [00:25:18] Speaker A: There is no tax season. [00:25:20] Speaker F: The Aldermen seemed fine for the most part. We got to speak with one of them. They're super strict about James father, actually. Yeah, he didn't know anything going on in town and we got to look in their records room for disappearances and something's happening, but we're just not quite sure yet. [00:25:37] Speaker A: I don't know, there's something here that's not adding up, but let's go take care of this blob. [00:25:42] Speaker F: And Jane. [00:25:43] Speaker A: And Jane. [00:25:44] Speaker E: I tried to shove my coat under the crack of the door so it wouldn't get out, but I don't know. [00:25:49] Speaker F: How successful that would be if we need to work on the COVID up story as well. My best guess right now is just druggies go along with what we're already here for. [00:25:57] Speaker A: Trash room. It makes sense. [00:25:59] Speaker F: Emaciated girl. [00:26:00] Speaker E: Also, I bet the cops are already at the motel. [00:26:03] Speaker D: What did you say? [00:26:04] Speaker E: I bet the cops are already at the motel. [00:26:07] Speaker A: Yeah, just go. We need to get you taken care of something. Is there hospital here? [00:26:13] Speaker F: I didn't look, we can't take him to the hot. What are we going to say, Gray? [00:26:18] Speaker A: Lawnmower accident? [00:26:20] Speaker F: I don't know. We are out of town. Why are we mowing the lawn? They handled it fine. They got handled it all right. They went into the middle of nowhere and fixed his hand. Green, grab what's left of your stub and let's go and grab that bonesaw. [00:26:36] Speaker E: Can I not grab it? [00:26:38] Speaker F: We can't leave it here. [00:26:39] Speaker E: Can you grab it? [00:26:40] Speaker D: I mean, we couldn't say. [00:26:41] Speaker A: We didn't wait, did you touch that thing whenever you the blob? No, that leftover bit of hand, probably with a glove. [00:26:50] Speaker D: I did touch his hand when I accidentally broke his finger. [00:26:55] Speaker E: It was already broken. Don't worry. [00:26:56] Speaker A: Honestly, is there any point we can't. [00:26:58] Speaker F: Leave traces of ourselves if at all possible? I know it's not much, but random animal can get it. But that hand might be infected and that animal can get infected and then we have a whole other all right. [00:27:09] Speaker A: You make a point. You make a just I'll go back. [00:27:13] Speaker F: To the cars and see what we can get to bag it up. [00:27:17] Speaker D: If anyone has a handkerchief, they can. [00:27:19] Speaker C: So I imagine you all get the hand, you all get together. Agent gray, drives one car. Agent Teal drives the other car. And you make your way back to the motel. And you guys get back to the motel. And everything seems very quiet. There's still the one white windowless van and one truck on the end that you've seen before, so you would assume belongs to the receptionist who's in the vehicle with me. Gray will say Olive is in with you. [00:27:48] Speaker A: What room was she in? [00:27:50] Speaker D: I don't know the room number. [00:27:51] Speaker C: He was in 22 and Jane was in 21. [00:27:54] Speaker A: All right, well, I pull up next to Teal. Olive, why don't you take Green and you two go situate yourself in the room. [00:28:04] Speaker F: I think it's best if we stick together for this one, considering what they went to. [00:28:09] Speaker A: Well, true, but what's he going to do? [00:28:11] Speaker F: He can't do much. [00:28:12] Speaker D: Fine. [00:28:13] Speaker C: We don't want to leave him alone with your awareness. You hear the sound of a screen door closing as you see the receptionist stepping outside, looking like she is walking towards her vehicle. And she sees you guys and it's like oh. And waves. [00:28:27] Speaker D: I'll wave back. [00:28:28] Speaker C: She starts walking towards you guys. [00:28:31] Speaker E: I'm gonna put my hand behind my back. [00:28:33] Speaker A: Gray's just gonna come up and right in front of you a little bit, right in front of that arm. [00:28:38] Speaker F: I'm gonna like, eyeball you to take him inside. [00:28:41] Speaker D: Hello? [00:28:42] Speaker C: What's going on? Hi, again. [00:28:45] Speaker D: Hi. [00:28:45] Speaker C: Hey, did you see those FBI agents yet? [00:28:48] Speaker D: No, not yet. [00:28:49] Speaker C: Oh, okay. I just can't wait till I can help them out. [00:28:52] Speaker D: Well, you may get your chance. I hear they're heading around town. [00:28:56] Speaker C: Yeah, and I made a mistake. [00:28:58] Speaker D: What was that? [00:28:59] Speaker C: Well, I left those keys out because I was waiting to give them to the FBI agents and now they're gone, so I gotta go get copies made. [00:29:06] Speaker F: That's no. [00:29:08] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:29:09] Speaker D: I'm sorry. [00:29:10] Speaker E: Who would do such a thing? [00:29:11] Speaker C: I don't know. You guys are the only ones there. But you guys are such great friends, so I don't think you would do it. It's probably that Scott Adams. [00:29:19] Speaker E: Yeah, probably the one who's stealing the towels, too. [00:29:23] Speaker C: When she says that, she kind of, like, has a blank look on her face for a second and kind of cocks her head and then just goes anyway. But since there's no one else staying at the hotel but you four, I don't really know what happened. I think someone just came by and stole them. Probably the same person has been messing with my towels. [00:29:40] Speaker E: That's what I was thinking. [00:29:42] Speaker D: Yeah, that's possibility. [00:29:44] Speaker C: It's crazy. Also, I think I'm going to have that van towed. It's just been here for, like, a week. And no one else is here. [00:29:50] Speaker A: No one else is here. [00:29:51] Speaker C: Just you four. [00:29:52] Speaker A: Oh, not Scott Adams. [00:29:55] Speaker C: Who? [00:29:55] Speaker F: So, what were you? You said you were leaving keys out for some FBI agents? [00:30:01] Speaker C: Yeah, in case they needed to investigate. [00:30:04] Speaker F: If no one else was here, were they keys to our rooms? [00:30:08] Speaker C: I don't know. I gave my spare keys to them because they lost their keys, which, you know, it's like $25 if you lose your keys twice. [00:30:16] Speaker F: Well, don't lose your keys twice now. [00:30:19] Speaker C: Anyway, I've got to go make copies of these keys. [00:30:22] Speaker A: Sure. [00:30:23] Speaker E: Why do you need to make copies for them? [00:30:25] Speaker C: Well, someone took the other one. [00:30:26] Speaker E: Why would they take them if they weren't going to stay there? [00:30:29] Speaker A: You said Scott Adams took them from what? [00:30:32] Speaker C: There's no one by that name here. I mean, serious. Are you? [00:30:37] Speaker A: No. No. Here's the thing. I kept hearing that name around town by the what was it? [00:30:42] Speaker C: Oh, that Scott Adams who's been going around asking about UFOs and stuff. [00:30:48] Speaker A: Yeah, that guy. [00:30:48] Speaker C: He hasn't been around here in like, a week. [00:30:50] Speaker A: Oh. [00:30:51] Speaker E: Could that be his car? [00:30:52] Speaker C: That'd be weird, seeing as he's not around. I mean, where else would he go? [00:30:56] Speaker E: Maybe he got lost. [00:30:57] Speaker C: Well, I guess that's true. Maybe that's why the FBI here. [00:31:00] Speaker F: Maybe he died in the I'm not meaning to interrupt you there. We've been networking around town all day. Did we receive any calls or any requests to contact? [00:31:10] Speaker C: No, not at all. Why? [00:31:12] Speaker F: Well, we've been networking. We've been networking. Get in contact with the hotel to get in contact with us. [00:31:18] Speaker C: Call, are you asking about UFO stuff, too? Because people don't like that here. [00:31:22] Speaker F: No. [00:31:23] Speaker A: Okay, I think you've got enough of that going on with TV crew. [00:31:27] Speaker C: Yeah, that's fine. [00:31:29] Speaker A: Well, I don't think we need a whole job. We were just about ready to go inside and take a breather. [00:31:36] Speaker C: Oh, that's great. Do you guys need anything? I'm running out. [00:31:39] Speaker F: Come find us when you get back. We don't want to hold you up. [00:31:42] Speaker C: No mean, I'm not doing anything else. [00:31:44] Speaker E: Just let us know if you find the FBI. [00:31:47] Speaker C: Oh, I will totally let you know because I need to tell you because we talked about that earlier. Yeah. [00:31:57] Speaker E: Are you feeling okay? [00:31:59] Speaker C: I've been working for, like, 42 hours straight, so there's a lot going on. [00:32:04] Speaker E: I know exactly how you feel. [00:32:05] Speaker C: So I'm going to go get in my car and drive over to get my copies made. [00:32:09] Speaker F: And where would you do that? [00:32:11] Speaker C: At the place where you make copies. [00:32:12] Speaker F: That makes sense. [00:32:13] Speaker C: You know the locksmith. [00:32:14] Speaker E: Oh, is it merle? [00:32:16] Speaker C: No, Merle owns the hotel and those other places, but he doesn't own the locksmith. [00:32:22] Speaker E: How long has he owned these places? [00:32:24] Speaker C: Like, so long. He's so old. [00:32:27] Speaker A: Well, we'll let you get to the locksmith. [00:32:30] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:32:30] Speaker C: She closes the door to her car and then turns it up. [00:32:35] Speaker F: Why did we not tell her again that we're FBI? [00:32:38] Speaker A: Honestly, at this point, we're supposed to. [00:32:40] Speaker D: Keep a low profile. [00:32:40] Speaker A: Low profile? [00:32:43] Speaker E: They know that she doesn't ask about a gunshot. [00:32:46] Speaker A: She also forgot about Scott Adams right. [00:32:48] Speaker D: After she said, did you guys see that look on her face? [00:32:51] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:32:52] Speaker C: So you guys head on inside. And were you wanting to go first in the dead room or the Jane room? [00:33:00] Speaker A: See if we can take care of Jane. [00:33:01] Speaker F: Yeah. Let's check on Jane. [00:33:03] Speaker C: So you guys approach motel room 21. [00:33:06] Speaker E: Does it still, like, there's, like, the coat underneath the door and, like, the chair and all that kind of stuff. [00:33:11] Speaker C: Or has it been there's still a broken wooden chair in the middle of the hall? There is the closed door 22 with a jacket pushed up against the bottom of it. And then 21 looks untouched and normal. [00:33:24] Speaker F: Okay, I'm going to have my gun out, and when I see the broken wooden chair in the middle of the. [00:33:31] Speaker E: Hall that was us. [00:33:32] Speaker F: I'm going to look green. Can you grab that and we can put it in Jane's room? [00:33:37] Speaker E: Sure. Let me grab it. Oh, no. [00:33:39] Speaker F: How long are you going to be doing that? [00:33:41] Speaker E: Probably until the bats wear off. [00:33:42] Speaker A: Olive, you grab it. As I also have my own sidearm. [00:33:46] Speaker C: Jack, will you roll one d four one. They're starting to wear off. [00:33:51] Speaker E: I think I'm going to need another dose pretty soon. [00:33:56] Speaker A: We'll stop by the drugstore and get you something real quick. Let's see how this girl's doing. Teal? You're probably better. Shocking. [00:34:03] Speaker F: Um, I don't have the yeah, Olive, if you wouldn't mind, I'll back you up. [00:34:09] Speaker D: Yeah, out of courtesy, I knock on the door and then unlock it. Oh, by the way, she. Doesn't have any clothes on. [00:34:18] Speaker F: Oh, good to know, good to know. [00:34:20] Speaker D: Be prepared for that. [00:34:21] Speaker C: So you begin to open the door inside. Same place you left her. The fetal position is this gaunt, emaciated, grayish skinned woman. Very clearly noticed she looks about nine months pregnant. And again, there's the smell of the lack of a bathroom. There's trash all over the place. It's very dark. There's like, no lights on, and the curtains are pretty blocked out. And she's like, oh, doctor, are you back? [00:34:51] Speaker F: Did you bring me more food, doctor? [00:34:54] Speaker E: Yes, that's me. I'm sorry. We seem to got sidetracked. Did anyone else come in here by chance after we left? [00:35:03] Speaker C: What? [00:35:05] Speaker E: Did you hear anything? [00:35:07] Speaker C: No, I don't think so. [00:35:11] Speaker A: Is there a light switch? [00:35:13] Speaker C: Yeah, I flip it on, she goes she clearly hasn't had a light on in a long time. [00:35:20] Speaker F: Can I attempt to do just like, a brief exam? You keep saying she's nine months pregnant. Can I see if I can feel a baby kicking? If I can do see if her pupils are dilating, if she's on anything. [00:35:34] Speaker E: Sure. [00:35:35] Speaker C: Do you want to try medicine or something? [00:35:37] Speaker A: Sure. [00:35:38] Speaker C: As you start getting closer to her, she looks like she's trying to find something or even lift something that she could use to SWAT you away. But she can't even lift anything. [00:35:52] Speaker A: Jane? [00:35:52] Speaker C: Who are you? We're here to help. We're here to help, doctor help. [00:35:58] Speaker F: I'm an assistant of the doctor there, but I rolled an 89 over 20. [00:36:03] Speaker C: You start your exam, you start feeling like if you push too hard, you might accidentally break something. So you kind of like, back off in fear of hurting her on accident. [00:36:15] Speaker F: How long have you been in this room? [00:36:16] Speaker C: Just a few days now. [00:36:18] Speaker F: How long have you been in this state? [00:36:21] Speaker C: What do you mean? [00:36:23] Speaker A: Pregnant? [00:36:23] Speaker C: Pregnant. Just a couple weeks. Just a little bit. Do you have any food? I'm so hungry. I don't want to hurt the baby by not eating enough. [00:36:37] Speaker D: This is essentially what we got the first time we were here. [00:36:40] Speaker C: Where's Scott? Is he okay? Did you find him? [00:36:44] Speaker D: Scott's just scott's fine. Don't worry about Scott. [00:36:48] Speaker A: Scott's been feeding. [00:36:50] Speaker C: Yeah. Yes. [00:36:52] Speaker A: Did he pick you up from your house? [00:36:57] Speaker C: I asked him to take me away from your I didn't want it to happen to me. [00:37:02] Speaker A: Well, here, sweetheart, we'll get you some food. And I just look up to somebody like vending machine. So why don't you tell me you wanted to get away so it wouldn't happen to you. Is that run away with Scott? [00:37:23] Speaker C: Something happened to Billy. [00:37:24] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:37:25] Speaker C: And he killed his dad. And things didn't seem right with him. And he lost some time, and I lost some time. And I didn't want to hurt anyone or myself, and I didn't want something to come messed with me, so I ran away. And Scott was asking about the missing time and he also had missing time. So I ran with him here because he was staying here and he said he'd rent me a room. And now I see. [00:37:55] Speaker A: So hiding whenever you and Billy went out to go hang out, right? Is that where you lost the time? [00:38:02] Speaker C: No, I didn't lose the time with Billy. [00:38:04] Speaker A: Oh, afterwards? [00:38:06] Speaker C: No, Billy lost time after me. But I didn't think anything of it. I was only gone 8 hours. I just thought I lost track of time. [00:38:14] Speaker E: Okay. [00:38:14] Speaker C: My mom so worried. [00:38:17] Speaker A: Yeah, and your mom is up there and I'm sure she would love to see you. [00:38:22] Speaker C: No, not like this. Am I going to die? I'm so hungry. [00:38:27] Speaker A: Well, we'll get you some food. Olive, can you go see if you. [00:38:31] Speaker E: Can get something real quick? [00:38:33] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:38:34] Speaker A: So we'll get you some food and don't want to hurt that baby. [00:38:39] Speaker C: I want Billy. Is Billy okay? [00:38:42] Speaker A: Billy? [00:38:43] Speaker C: I didn't tell him yet that I was pregnant. [00:38:45] Speaker D: Billy's fine. [00:38:46] Speaker A: Billy? Billy is out of state right now. [00:38:51] Speaker E: He's in the hospital. [00:38:52] Speaker F: Green, go help Olive with the food. [00:38:55] Speaker E: I'm fine. [00:38:57] Speaker C: The doctor needs to stay. [00:38:59] Speaker A: Why don't you make sure you got the medicine in that food. Doctor. [00:39:02] Speaker E: I'm fine. [00:39:03] Speaker C: She like tries to lift her hand to reach out to the doctor but she can't even lift her forearm. [00:39:08] Speaker E: He bends down and use his other arm but he's doing okay. [00:39:14] Speaker A: That's good. [00:39:15] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:39:16] Speaker A: You and Billy were going to have a kid. Was this plan? [00:39:19] Speaker C: No, not really. But then all the missing time stuff started happening so I didn't tell him and now I feel weird. [00:39:28] Speaker A: Gotcha. So when did you find out you were pregnant? [00:39:31] Speaker C: About three or four weeks know she went missing like two weeks ago. So from what she's saying, she would be pregnant before she was missing. [00:39:39] Speaker A: Well, congratulations. [00:39:41] Speaker F: How did you know Scott Allen before? [00:39:45] Speaker C: Scott Adams. [00:39:45] Speaker F: Adams? [00:39:46] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:39:46] Speaker F: Scott Adams. [00:39:47] Speaker C: I didn't know him before. He was just asking around town and I forgot to ask could I get sanity check from the two of you looking that's fair. And interacting with her, that's starting to sink in a bit more. [00:40:00] Speaker F: Two. [00:40:00] Speaker C: Under 68, you lose 117. Under 52, you lose one. [00:40:06] Speaker F: Now. Do you make a habit from talking with strangers? [00:40:11] Speaker C: No. He was just at our house and he was talking about he was at your house? Yeah, he was asking everyone stuff around town. He was everywhere. [00:40:19] Speaker E: If you remember, her mom mentioned a man who visited in a white van. [00:40:23] Speaker C: He was talking about all the same stuff. So I went and asked him more, but privately. [00:40:30] Speaker F: We're gonna go help Olive with that food, please. [00:40:33] Speaker C: I'm so hungry. [00:40:35] Speaker F: We'll be back. [00:40:36] Speaker E: We'll be back. [00:40:36] Speaker F: Unless you have another question. [00:40:38] Speaker A: Ray, you just sit right here, darling, and we'll see about getting you some food and see if we can get you taken care of. We'll talk to the doctor back here. [00:40:46] Speaker E: And you said you didn't hear any noises when we were gone. [00:40:49] Speaker C: I don't know. It's hard to concentrate on anything. Doctor that makes sense. [00:40:54] Speaker E: Well, if you do, let us know. [00:40:56] Speaker C: Thank you. I'm gonna go to sleep while I wait for some food. [00:41:01] Speaker F: When we exit the we, we probably should break into that van. [00:41:06] Speaker C: As you guys step out into the hallway, olive's just kind of waiting there without anything in her hands. [00:41:13] Speaker F: Olive, I don't want to make presumptions, but can you break into a car? [00:41:17] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:41:18] Speaker F: Want to help me with a side project? [00:41:23] Speaker D: Oh, are we breaking into the van? [00:41:25] Speaker A: Yeah, we're breaking we're breaking into the van. [00:41:26] Speaker E: We should probably do it before the secretary gets back. [00:41:29] Speaker F: Yeah, we better, because she said she wants to. [00:41:32] Speaker C: All right, as you guys all head to the van. Abby, since I rolled your number, will you roll a luck check, please? Roll. Let me know what you got. [00:41:41] Speaker D: It's the second 100 of the night. [00:41:44] Speaker C: Okay, so you rolled 100? [00:41:45] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:41:46] Speaker C: All right, you guys head outside to the van. How are you wanting to break in? [00:41:53] Speaker F: Obviously, the best course of action would be whatever side is not facing the road. To use that side, since the van has no windows or anything, be easy cover. [00:42:03] Speaker C: It's parked, like, vertically to the road, so its back is to the road, so both sides are both easily as visible from the road. [00:42:11] Speaker F: I don't know how you'd break into that, but fictional, Olive might. [00:42:15] Speaker D: I think that would make the most sense out of the other skills that. [00:42:18] Speaker C: I have just using criminology. [00:42:20] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:42:20] Speaker C: Okay. Well, with your skill, it's high enough to do this without rolling, so you open up one of the doors essentially without breaking anything. [00:42:30] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:42:31] Speaker C: So you guys are able to go into the van? There's really, like, nothing in here. The van is pretty empty. [00:42:38] Speaker D: Nothing in the glove box. Under the seats console. [00:42:41] Speaker C: There's, like, some receipts, some trash, like napkins and stuff, straw wrappers. [00:42:46] Speaker D: But nothing that catches our attention. [00:42:48] Speaker C: No. [00:42:48] Speaker D: Okay. [00:42:48] Speaker C: I think judging from the state of his room there's, probably most of his stuff was moved into the room from the van. [00:42:54] Speaker A: Well, we're the shock. [00:42:56] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:42:56] Speaker E: I think I recall him having a lot of stuff, like a laptop and. [00:43:01] Speaker A: Clothes and that laptop could be useful. [00:43:04] Speaker F: Papers are the keys in the van. [00:43:06] Speaker D: No course of action. Go check out his room. [00:43:09] Speaker F: Yeah. As much as I don't want to. [00:43:12] Speaker D: Be prepared for an overgrown tick I. [00:43:15] Speaker F: Thought you said it was a blob. [00:43:16] Speaker D: It's a blob equals overgrown tick. [00:43:18] Speaker E: It's gray. [00:43:19] Speaker F: Well, a blob assumes amorphous, overgrown tick. All right, then it's an overgrown tick. [00:43:24] Speaker A: Does it have face? [00:43:27] Speaker F: It's an overgrown tick. [00:43:28] Speaker A: I didn't look overgrown tick. Well, great. [00:43:31] Speaker F: Before we go in there, all of you want to get the shotgun, or do you still have it? It was in your guys'car. We assumed. [00:43:38] Speaker D: Is it still in the van? [00:43:39] Speaker C: Yes. [00:43:40] Speaker D: Did you ever take it? [00:43:41] Speaker C: No. [00:43:41] Speaker D: You had the stick. [00:43:42] Speaker E: I have the gun you had, so that you gave me. [00:43:45] Speaker D: I did give you a gun. But you also had the plank of wood. [00:43:48] Speaker C: You reach back, it's not there. [00:43:49] Speaker E: That's not surprising. I made a luck check, if you recall. [00:43:52] Speaker D: Yeah, that's true. Okay. Of course. [00:43:53] Speaker F: Don't fire it unless needed. [00:43:55] Speaker D: I'll get the shotgun out of the van. [00:43:57] Speaker C: As you guys are heading inside, you guys hear a car pulling up? [00:44:02] Speaker D: Is it the receptionist? [00:44:03] Speaker C: It's a deputy. [00:44:04] Speaker F: If you guys want to continue to go inside, I can. [00:44:07] Speaker A: US three will go in. Teal, if you can take care of that real quick till he gets out. [00:44:12] Speaker C: Of his car, closes it up, looks like he says something kind of quietly into his radio, and then he's making a line, like, straight for the way into the hallway. [00:44:23] Speaker F: Something going on here. [00:44:24] Speaker C: Officer just responded to a call. No worries. [00:44:28] Speaker F: What was the call? [00:44:30] Speaker C: Sorry, I don't discuss stuff like this with civilians. All right. [00:44:34] Speaker F: Did the sheriff not fill you in? [00:44:35] Speaker C: On what? [00:44:36] Speaker F: Agent Teal, FBI. [00:44:38] Speaker C: Yeah, I knew there were FBI agents in town. I just didn't know it was you. [00:44:42] Speaker F: Oh, sorry. I thought the sheriff we introduced ourselves to the sheriff. He said you all were busy. Very busy this time of year. [00:44:48] Speaker C: Yeah, pretty busy. That's why I'm going in and he kind of starts continuing. [00:44:53] Speaker F: What was the call? [00:44:54] Speaker C: It doesn't have anything to do with your guys'investigation. [00:44:57] Speaker F: A lot of things have to do with our investigation. I hope you understand. I'm not trying to be nosy here, but was it domestic violence? Because that wouldn't have anything to do with it. Was it? [00:45:08] Speaker C: Okay. It was just a noise complaint. All right. Checking things out. [00:45:12] Speaker F: All right, man. [00:45:12] Speaker C: Where's Tasha? I don't see her. Receptionist yes. [00:45:16] Speaker F: She had to go do something. Get some new keys made. Somebody stole some keys. [00:45:20] Speaker C: That murl making her work double shift. She really needs a new pool boy or something to watch the place while he's gone. [00:45:26] Speaker F: Yeah, she said she was working 42 hours. That is unlawful. [00:45:31] Speaker C: Yeah, I would say so. If she's doing it by her own choice, I guess it's fine. But anyway, I'm heading inside. You here by yourself? He says Lily's kind of just walking in. [00:45:42] Speaker F: No, the other agents are inside, too. This is the only place to stay in town. I'm sure you understand. Got you. I can go get them for you. And I holler down the hallway. [00:45:52] Speaker C: You guys, as you're getting to the door, notice that the jacket has a hole in it. A what? Like a recently made like it wasn't there last time you saw the jacket. It looks like a good, like, ten inches of the jacket is gone. [00:46:07] Speaker A: That's not good. Blob eating blob. Wait. And I just started looking around. [00:46:13] Speaker C: So you guys heard the shouting. When you see the jacket all melted or just missing a piece and such gray, you start looking around, because that thing could be in the hallway. Olive, what are you doing? You have the shotgun. Is that right? [00:46:27] Speaker D: Apparently I do. I don't know what the crap I'm going to do with it. [00:46:30] Speaker C: While you're thinking about what to do with the shotgun green, what are you doing? [00:46:35] Speaker E: I'm going to shove my stump into my pants pocket, and then my other hand I'm going to lean against the wall with my other hand. Kind of propping myself up. Kind of like I'm going to try and act casual. [00:46:51] Speaker F: We weren't really sure what that, deputy? I'm not sure. What was your name? I didn't quite get that. I introduced myself. It's kind of rude. [00:46:57] Speaker C: White. Officer White. The detective stops for a second, looking at all you, and then he sees, like, the broken chair in the middle of the hallway. [00:47:05] Speaker F: That chair was there. We were going to talk to the receptionist about it, but she wasn't here. [00:47:11] Speaker C: Well, here's everyone. Right here, I assume, is everyone. [00:47:15] Speaker F: Yeah. This is Gray, FBI consultant. Green and Olive. [00:47:23] Speaker C: All colors. That's fun. I suppose. [00:47:28] Speaker E: I'd like to think they did it on purpose. [00:47:31] Speaker A: Oh, sorry, I didn't catch your name. Detective White. [00:47:35] Speaker E: Hey. [00:47:38] Speaker C: He does not look, like, amused by this at all. I'm just heading right in there. He points that door at room 22. [00:47:46] Speaker A: The one we're all around. [00:47:47] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:47:48] Speaker C: Starts walking down the hall. [00:47:50] Speaker A: Deputy looking at teal like he just. [00:47:53] Speaker F: Said it was a noise complaint. Let him do let the man do his job. [00:47:56] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:47:57] Speaker F: We got our own business. [00:47:58] Speaker A: We got our own business. [00:47:59] Speaker F: Please let us know if you find anything that could be related to the case in there. [00:48:03] Speaker E: Of course. [00:48:04] Speaker C: Sure. He walks up and just knocks a. [00:48:07] Speaker F: Couple of times, just shooting everyone out. [00:48:09] Speaker A: Of range behind his back. Grey just points at the hole in the coat. [00:48:16] Speaker C: He knocks a couple times again, looks down, and he sees the coat, and he grabs it. What the heck happened to this thing? He unfolds it. It's, like, missing just a huge chunk. Tosses it onto the broken chair. All right. He knocks him are you in here? Hello. I was hoping Tasha would be here. I could get the key from her. [00:48:33] Speaker A: Well, maybe the door is she's she. [00:48:35] Speaker F: Just went to the locksmith. You can go down to her. I'm sure she won't be a bit of minute, maybe. [00:48:41] Speaker C: He grabs his handle and it's unlocked. [00:48:44] Speaker E: It's like well, yeah, we did lock it. There's also a person who barred the door when we were in. [00:48:49] Speaker D: I know, but we locked the door. [00:48:50] Speaker C: He opens the door, and you all get to see the room. There's, like, clothes in a pile in the corner, just thrown. But then on the bed, there's some very neat leap folded clothes, and there's trash everywhere. It looked like there used to be towels and such taped, like, the walls and the windows, but they've all been torn down. There's a computer on the bed surrounded by some notes. It's a macintosh. And then this room actually has its own bathroom. And the bathroom door is cracked. Hello? You in here? Well, shoot. Told there was a noise complaint with this room. Doesn't look like he's here. Might be in the bathroom. [00:49:26] Speaker F: I mean, he could have just ran away after someone called the cops. [00:49:30] Speaker C: His room's quite a mess. [00:49:31] Speaker A: Do you know who was staying here? [00:49:33] Speaker C: No, I don't. I was gonna ask Kasha that. [00:49:36] Speaker A: Who. Did she mention she was missing? Like one other person or someone? [00:49:39] Speaker C: He steps inside the room. [00:49:41] Speaker A: Mr. Scott Adams, was it? [00:49:44] Speaker C: Oh, that loon. Are you the one who lives here? Oh, it smells like crap in. Yeah, he kind of picks up one of the notebooks. Stuff doesn't make much sense. Little Loon tosses it back down on the bed. [00:49:57] Speaker A: Gray is going to kind of follow behind him, but while he's been talking, he's just going to siddle over to the Macintosh. Kind of like just while the deputies look at other stuff. [00:50:08] Speaker C: Just kind of I should mention it's not a laptop. [00:50:10] Speaker A: No, it's not a laptop. [00:50:11] Speaker C: It's a full computer. [00:50:12] Speaker A: In that case, he's just going to kind of grab some of the note. [00:50:15] Speaker E: Okay. [00:50:16] Speaker C: The deputy is not really paying attention. He's heading to the bathroom door. [00:50:19] Speaker F: Deputy, is it procedure to just enter someone's domicile and explore? [00:50:26] Speaker C: I'm just checking out the only other room here to see if he's here. Could be hiding in here. [00:50:31] Speaker F: I mean, he could have just ran away. What would you do if someone called the cops on you and you had the chance to get out? [00:50:37] Speaker C: Just a noise complaint. I'd just wait. Tell him I'll be quiet next time. [00:50:41] Speaker A: I haven't granted, we haven't been here that long. Didn't hear anything. We just got back. [00:50:45] Speaker E: Green is going to kind of shimmy over to Teal and whisper in his ear. Noise complaint? From who? [00:50:52] Speaker F: Oh, I've been wondering that for a while. [00:50:54] Speaker E: The girl didn't remember any noise. [00:50:56] Speaker F: I'm going to as he's going to open up the door, I'm going to be like, well, Deputy, I'm going to be honest with you, deputy White. This place, it seems to have a lot to do with our investigation. Look at around. This is clearly a drug den of some sorts. I'm going to need to ask you to stop touching things, including the door. [00:51:14] Speaker C: There's a reason I didn't tell you to leave. It's potential here. [00:51:18] Speaker F: I know, but I'm just this is. [00:51:21] Speaker A: The first time we've walked in this room. [00:51:23] Speaker C: Listen, I've done this plenty of times. It's fine. All right, well, he pulls his sleeve up a bit to cover his hands so he doesn't leave things. He makes a show of it towards Teal before pushing on the door. [00:51:36] Speaker F: You're still tampering with the crime scene? [00:51:38] Speaker C: We don't know it's a crime scene at all yet. [00:51:41] Speaker E: Where'd the noise complaint come from? [00:51:43] Speaker C: I don't know. It was a call to the station. [00:51:45] Speaker E: Was it from the secretary? [00:51:47] Speaker C: I don't know. I was just told about it. I was driving my patrol. [00:51:52] Speaker F: She said that we were the only ones here. How can there be a noise complaint. [00:51:55] Speaker C: If I don't know. I'm just here following up on a noise complaint. All right, golly. [00:52:01] Speaker F: I think he opens the door. [00:52:04] Speaker C: He kind of just relaxes for a minute, steps in. You hear a shower curtain kind of move. He walks back out. He's like he's not here. So I'm going to just you guys, if you feel so strongly this place could be some sort of drugged in, I'll put in a report that you guys are looking into the room. All right, he's not here. I'm done here. [00:52:26] Speaker D: All right. [00:52:26] Speaker A: Thank you, Debbie White. You have a good night. [00:52:29] Speaker C: Yeah, thanks. You too. And he kind of makes his way out and pick up this chair if you could, or at least tell Tasha about it. [00:52:36] Speaker E: I thought I told you to pick. [00:52:38] Speaker F: Up that chair, Green. [00:52:39] Speaker C: I picked a part of it. [00:52:40] Speaker E: You're supposed to pick the big chair. [00:52:42] Speaker C: Not the as he steps out of the room, and you all collectively turn back to the bathroom where there should be a body. We hardcut to black. And that's all for tonight.
